I don't know how anybody else feels about this matter, but I'm a bit tired of all the boss battles happening in small rooms. It's usually walking to a room, which leads to a corridor, which leads to another room, then a corridor, and then finally a room with a boss. Don't believe me? Boss battles include: Phogoth, Atheon, Valus Tuuarc, Sepiks Prime, Crota, Omnigul, Nexus, and more. No, I don't solely blame Bungie for continuing this RPG cliche, it's like every other game out there perpetuates this silliness. Why not break the barrier and toss aside this cookie cutter idea?
It's perfectly reasonable that The Cabal would get tired of the guardians beating them at every battle and murdering their leaders. They finally get fed up and decide to bring out all their toys to the field. I speak of multiple battle tanks, a battalion of elite foot soldiers, a few battle hardened commanders, air support that would run strafing runs on the puny guardians, and of course an open ground field the size of Scablands. This is what I call a battlefield! To add something more, Guardians should be able to use their sparrows, use gun turrets laying across the field, and hijack enemy vehicles when possible. Because we're going to need everything we can get when facing a proper Cabal army. Bungie can set this up as a Raid.
Make it happen Bungie!
