Are people who go around the deathsinger Even worthy of endgame?
Pretty easy fight. Takes about three minutes to do legit, kill two witches, kill two shriekers, kill a witch, done. Fight a hundred knights and off to kill crota. Are the people going around this fight, who aren't willing to invest three minutes, worthy of raid rewards?
EDIT: know what the worst part is? People won't even tell new raiders what's going on. They aren't explaining they are cheesing they aren't explaining how to do the fight legit. Then PPL get mad that no one knows how to do it. If we aren't teaching the new guys what to do how can we be mad at them for not knowing?
Edit: If you guys put as much effort into actually raiding as you do defending your shady actions this would be a non-issue

The Deathsinger is no problem. Rocket launchers and Icebreakers is all you need. My only issue is why no loot drop after this stage? VoG has 4 drops total while this only has 3. Maybe hard mode will be different.

1 ReplyThis raid is ridiculously easy, compared to VOG, and if you believe it is so hard that anybody is going to struggle with it, cheesing now or not, you aren't worthy of endgame difficulty content.

3 RepliesCheesers are people who exploit game mechanics and environments to win without damaging the enemy, usually a boss, until it dies. The fight isn't hard, you're correct, but it also has no loot drop. We bypass it because it's pointless and a waste of ammo. Unless someone has a save from another run through earlier in the weekly reset, we will have to do it once at least. It's no different than bypassing the confluxes in the VoG. That fight was easy as well, but no loot, hence we skipped it when the opportunity was available. Like you said, it's easy, so what's the big deal? Not like we are going to get stopped at Ir Yut and not reach Crota...

Its easy if people know how to do it people should learn how to do it but in your normal group is 6 guys that run the raid togeather all the time and down want to bother with it.

1 ReplyThe raid is easy enough without cheesing. But people who rely on it now will struggle at certain parts down the road until they learn through trial and error. Namely Crota and Deathsinger though.

I'm with ya on the witch part. IT'S NOT THAT HARD PPL!!! There's a very easy way to beat that part. My team beats it on first try everytime. Shoot stuff, don't die. Great phraze to game by.

I blame shitty matchmaking potential. It's too much of a PITA to find PuGs. So, with the Crota check, we just 3 man all loot points.

You can skip it? We had a good chuckle this week in our fireteam as we happen to have a new person with us. Asked if we intended to cheese Crota... Why bother cheating something so easy we almost had him in a single sword. His stupid damage immunity, sword vanished before we could get the last 1-2 hits in.

1 ReplyDeathsinger gives no drops, I'd rather skip it if possible just like how I preferred to skip the Confluxes in Vault of Glass. Saves time, even if it's just a small fraction.

I totally agree..its super easy. I always get invited and when i spawn in everybody will be standing still all lfg crota checkpoint...ill be like "doing it is quicker than looking for a checkpoint for twenty minutes". Everybody complains about lack of reward. Finally we legitimately kill Ir Yut the deathsinger and everybody is excited...then we go to orbit and somebodies like "whos dashboarding?" lol...another 20 minutes trying to get it right and same thing, i say "legit is quicker and not very hard if everybody plays it safe", and all i get is "cheese if quicker dude" after dashboarding doesnt work a few times we spawn in activate the crystal , i run in and grab the chalice and start taking out the sworsbearer while they all yell at me, "thats not how you beat crota"....what!?! I wish my raid team was on more often, weve always done it legit knowing sometime they will fix it anyways..now veterans will be the noobs and the noobs will be the veterans...damn.

5 RepliesIts funny because every time I post for "Experienced" players for CE raid the first thing people ask when they join is "Are we cheesing the entire raid?" I ask why is there a need when its a piece of cake to begin with. 95% of the time their response is "I don't have time to do it legit". Funny how everyone who says this has like 100+ hours played. They should just say "I'm horrible at this game and can't beat it legit"

If I can solo it with 12 Gjallarhorn rockets and 1 self revive then a team of six should run through it no problem

Yeah it's pretty easy to do so I do it whenever I can ( heck you can do it alone ) , however sometimes you don't have the time to do shit because life, and when that happens I just look for friends who have the cp for Crota. Wouldn't it be nice tho if they put a reward for it ? I really think they should so people would actually learn that part for not a lot of people know shit about the Deathsinger.. Anyway I get what you feel about it being part of the raid and must not be skipped, it's just some people skip it and some people don't, meh.

As long as nobody shoots the Knights, you dont even have to worry about the tine crunch. Quite simple really. Just play carefully around the Shriekers and Wizards.

1 ReplyI think hard mode should give loot for death singer. It would make sense since there are 4 raid primaries, so you could have one drop for each of the four encounters.

1 ReplyI've been able to solo Deathsinger. It's not that difficult with the right coordination. I think people are just lazy. Not saying anyone is bad at it, I just think it's not that hard. I just wish it gave me 2 radiant materials minimum

Bungie should remove the Crota checkpoint altogether and make the final checkpoint the Deathsinger.... Don't do deathsinger... no Crota. Wipe on Crota.... back to Deathsinger. I would totally LOVE IT if they did that! OMG, the tears from all the cheating scrubs would be scrumptious!!!!
