Are people who go around the deathsinger Even worthy of endgame?
Pretty easy fight. Takes about three minutes to do legit, kill two witches, kill two shriekers, kill a witch, done. Fight a hundred knights and off to kill crota. Are the people going around this fight, who aren't willing to invest three minutes, worthy of raid rewards?
EDIT: know what the worst part is? People won't even tell new raiders what's going on. They aren't explaining they are cheesing they aren't explaining how to do the fight legit. Then PPL get mad that no one knows how to do it. If we aren't teaching the new guys what to do how can we be mad at them for not knowing?
Edit: If you guys put as much effort into actually raiding as you do defending your shady actions this would be a non-issue

Fail once and "let's just skip it guys" or with crota same thing "let's just cheese guys" no.. to what end does cheesing accomplish? Why skip all the fun of the game? What.. to get loot easier so you can skip other parts of the game easier? It's ridiculous. Edit: and I know this phrase gets tossed around a lot but if you're not willing to put in the work to grind it out then play something else because you clearly don't like this game.

My group always does it legit. It's a fun encounter .. One of the few team work areas like vog. There are so few people doing it legit. Every time I've had a random join after being told we aren't cheesing and they say cool I like doing it legit they end up having no clue what they are doing. I hope people have a dedicated team for hard raid. Cause the community as a whole is full of scrubs. It won't matter that raid gear drops all the time and people are 32. They will still be terrible.

As it stands, the shrieker hallway and the deathsinger are pointless tasks to complete, which is stupid because the lamps give a substantial reward and that part is way easier than killing the Wizards. It's a lot easier to clear the bridge and then find someone with a Crota CP. You're right though. After about 6-7 attempts, I was able to solo it. I can only imagine that a fireteam would be able to clear it easily. Edit: As a few have pointed out, I was wrong to say that the shrieker hallway was pointless because of the second chest. I've only recently discovered the secret to getting in there 100% of the time and briefly forgot about it.

I did not even realize you can cheese the death singer. WTF? It is a PITA Fight but have done it Legit every time.

Is it that hard to worry about yourself and how YOU play the game? And no, I'm not a "cheater" as you put it, because I haven't raided CE, outside of grabbing the first chest. Final Edit: If YOU spent as much effort into focusing on your own enjoyment of the game as you do belittling others and how they want to play in the forum, you might have a better time.

1 ReplyThis week I cheesed every part after the lamps, including skipping the deathsinger. Why? Because that's what the group I was with was doing. And it annoyed the hell out of me the entire time. Nothing in this raid is difficult, and it doesn't even take that long. I will probably run it again this week with some people who will do it legit to get some practice in. I never want to be the guy holding my team back on hard mode because I can't do the fight correctly. Plus, skipping things means you miss out on shooting stuff. And that's the most fun part of the game, not the reward system or story or whatever.

The deatsinger stage is Fun. Never have trouble anymore. If someone doesnt know what to do, tell them. Not hard to explain 3 steps. And we're not dogs, we don't need a reward everytime we do something good.

Yup very easy, all you need to do is have 3 on each side have one person from the left & right side go in the room to lure both witches out then kill them both, then each group has to focus on both shriekers once their both destroyed the death singer's field is down. Then both groups go in the middle of the room to focus on the deathsinger (g-horn speeds her death quickly), it's good to try to get up high in the middle room to avoid all the knights, then finally once she dies start killing knights till you get the notification of the Crota checkpoint, how is that difficult?

6 RepliesIt's not hard to do it legit I do this I run it legit on one character copy the crota save to an alt Knock out crota on all alts (mine and my friends) Then run all alts through lamp and bridge and ignore death singer because it doesn't reward any drops so why waste 9+ mins to do it on all alts

Deathsinget is damn easy that's Why their is no drop after it. Let one warlock throw solar grenades under the winches left and right before you get in to the room. The winches will come out without even stepping in to the room of the shrieker. And jump over the 2 knights so the witch does Not prepare the song.fight takes 2-3 mins
