Pretty easy fight. Takes about three minutes to do legit, kill two witches, kill two shriekers, kill a witch, done. Fight a hundred knights and off to kill crota. Are the people going around this fight, who aren't willing to invest three minutes, worthy of raid rewards?
EDIT: know what the worst part is? People won't even tell new raiders what's going on. They aren't explaining they are cheesing they aren't explaining how to do the fight legit. Then PPL get mad that no one knows how to do it. If we aren't teaching the new guys what to do how can we be mad at them for not knowing?
Edit: If you guys put as much effort into actually raiding as you do defending your shady actions this would be a non-issue
Hey guys check out this guide written by NEWNS for doing the crota raid legit https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/90285570/0/0 If you have trouble just try this! No need to cheese

Much like the rest of the raid this cp can be done by 1 or 2 people. My 2nd raid this week I killed both wizards and both shriekers myself and was working on the Deathsinger before anyone even knew the second wizard had gone down. Everyone else- "where the hell is the right side wizard?" Me- "Deathsinger is almost dead"
-
This what happened to me I was tricked into cheesing was my first Crota
-
Deathsinger is so easy, why cheese
-
Edited by Wraithlegend: 1/8/2015 12:02:18 AMRemember. Only part you can't cheese gives no rewards. Unless they change it. Who cares about ir yut. Beat them once. Beat them 1000 times.

If you can't do the deathsinger, you're not very good, end of. It's actually really easy. I'm not saying people who skip it are trash, just people that can't do it.

Edited by DSmoke: 1/8/2015 12:01:10 AMNice try troll, ill skip what ever part of the raid i damn well feel like, that part doesnt give loot so i dont do it. have a problem with it? to bad. I have a set raid team so i dont have to teach anyone anything, and i could careless that you think i will fail at the hardmode ill be laughing all the way through it and get my primary raid weapon. If that part gave loot i would do it even if it was ridiculously difficult, the fact that its not difficult does not make me want to do it. I play for fun and whats fun to me is getting loot and my raid team agrees with me, that part doesnt give me loot, i dont find it fun, i skip it. EDIT: yes we do know how to do it legit, we do it without letting the deathsinger sing before we kill the wizards, probably the easiest way to do it but we still dont really care for doing that part, i see much more skippage in the future.

I thought you had to push the Templar off when I started. Didn't realise it was cheese
-
Edited by Venomous47: 1/7/2015 9:28:35 PMThere's a cheese for that checkpoint? I just do the first 2 checkpoints with my group and then we find someone who has the Crota checkpoint and then beat Crota. We skip the deathsinger checkpoint because it doesn't give rewards so, we have no feeling to do it.

Edited by A Villager: 1/7/2015 11:40:20 PMMy buddies and I just did the whole Crota raid with three people. So yeah the fight is super easy.
-
I already did the raid legit 6 times. I don't believe the random loot system will reward me with anything I want/need no matter how many times I run the raid, so what is my motivation to not cheese it? I'd rather just get it done as quickly as possible so that I can do something else that is more rewarding.
-
why waste time on no rewards
-
I got invited to a group the other night completing crota raid and they were up to the deathsinger, no one on the team had done it before, so I explained it to the and we did it first try, then smacked crota. Now everyone of these guys had the emblam and raid weapons, so they had all beaten crota without completing deathsinger. The funniest, thing they all said to me that it was easier doing it legit than cheesing it. The problem was that the poor had never had the raid explained to them. I explained it once and they executed first time. Great bunch of guys.
-
I did it yesterday with just 2 people (my friend is 31 and I'm 32). It's possible to solo. With 6 people tho ... it's painfully easy.
-
It's probably the most fun part of the raid. I have not skipped this part and don't intend on doing so anytime soon. I love how hectic it is trying to get the wizard down before time runs out. That adrenaline rush tho :p
-
If it that easy then we don't need to do it
-
Reason I try to avoid it is because it's the only part that's not rewarding when it's the toughest part of the entire raid.. So I avoid cause it's not worth any effort
-
I always thought it was simply a bug that it did not drop loot. Couldn't even imagine a rational, logical, developer not having it drop loot given the historical trend for loot triggers in the previous raid. It's basically Gatekeeper part 2. Gatekeeper drops loot so Deathsinger should drop loot. Am I right? Hope they do fix this bug. After beating it several times there's really no reason to keep on doing so without some reward.
-
I didn't even know there was a way around that lol
-
The death singer is the funnest part of the raid
-
We almost did it week one with all lvl 30s but would die when she'd almost be dead. Well day one. Day two I was 31 last guardian standing then I beat Crota down with a 2x4.
-
If this boss fight was necessary there would be a reward for completeing it but there is not so I see no reason to waste a second on it. This entire raid is total crap and further proof that Bungie hates their consumers.
-
It's so easy!
-
Kill wiz kill shriekers and then get on top of the doors in her room. Works almost every time
-
I've had 3 people in the fire team leave because me and my 2 friends refused to glitch/cheese after failing Crota twice. But right when those 3 left, me and my friends beat it the third time around without them haha
-
yeah it will get patch like the last raid and just most likely break things I'm not to trusting on bungies track record plus they will just find another way to cheese it don't really see how it matters that much to you.
-
Because she doesn't drop anything.
