Here is my evidence, reference the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern video as needed:
This theory of mine has been developing from suspicion in VoG to downright faith in the belief he's dead as of Crota's End.
My results for defeating Crota are:
1) Song of Ir Yut / legit / non-bearer
2) Song of Ir Yut / cheese / non-bearer
3) Light of the Abyss / cheese / non-bearer
4) Song of Ir Yut / legit / sword bearer
5) Radiant Energy / cheese / sword bearer
6) Song of Ir Yut / legit / non-bearer
7) Song of Ir Yut / legit / non-bearer
Comments, observations:
As usual, we know that performance has no result in determining your reward drop probability. You can be a superstar sword bearer or kill twice as many baddies as the rest of your company and you'll still get Song of Ir Yut or Sword Breaker or whatever dismantle you don't want in your tiny locker at the tower.
Also RNGesus cares not a whit for cheese; he is just as likely to reward you the same item no matter how you arrived at his door.
And just to pre-empt the non-cheese evangelists out there; my preference is to run legit but what I really hate is having to spend .5-1 hr trying to find a raid group in the LFG or forum, then waiting in the party for them to finish their strike, or sandwich or slapping their monkey only to get to Crota and have them say, "ok, everyone know how to cheeEeESE?"
Cheesus, after spending a couple hours with these ill-tempered dairy queens I'm not going to bow out and find another group of monkey slappers eating sandwiches because I enjoy the challenge and mechanics of doing it legit.
Anyway, discuss RNGesus as being dead, and by all means, post your own theories and speculations on who the wizard behind the curtain is...
