Black Wax Idol Farming
[b]Mission[/b]: "[i]Sword of Crota[/i]"
[b]Modifier[/b]: [i]Heroic[/i] (I prefer LEVEL 20)
[b]Directions[/b]:
[b]#1[/b] - Defeat the first Knight at the ritual point,
[b]#2 [/b]- Run down to the next chamber where there are 3 Knights,
[b]#3[/b] - Run past the Knights (or kill if you must),
[b]#4[/b] - Run past 3 RED Acolytes,
[b]#5[/b] - IMPORTANT; Kill the THREE YELLOW ACOLYTES, and YELLOW KNIGHT,
[b]#6[/b] - Jump off edge,
[b]#7[/b] - Repeat steps #[b][u]4-#7[/u][/b]
[b][i][u]WARNING: Don't start next check point or you'll have to start completely over. [/u][/i][/b]
I was getting around 4-6 [i]Black Wax Idols[/i], and 6-8 [i]Silken Codex[/i] every 10 minutes. It takes about 30 Seconds to complete one run, depending on how fast you can kill them.
Every run [b][i]will vary,[/i][/b] but this way seemed to work best[i][b] for me[/b][/i].
Even if you don't need the [i]Black Wax Idols[/i], this was an equally good way to get Glimmer at the same time, with all the [i]Silken Codex[/i] and the [i]100 Glimmer[/i] per run.

5 RepliesBest spot I have found is down the stairs at the beginning of the cosmodrome. Pop a black wax and go kill the three majors. You get 120 something glimmer and they drop black wax often. I usually do it for 20 min and get 10-5 black wax and 7000-10000 glimmer with all their drops. Strat.......spawn and run left pop black wax go down stairs kill knight and acolytes. Go back up kill the ads by the rock go back down and repeat over and over. They make it rain wax usually

20 RepliesEarth, turn left as soon as you spawn in, run forward and go down the stairs. Take out the 3 yellow Knights in the little room down there, once killed jump a few times (head butt the ceiling) Knights respawn. Rinse and repeat. Got 10,000 glimmer in 15 minutes last night

Very important to note - as I have just learned - that being under the effects of a BWI causes them not to drop. Don't use em :)

7 RepliesRofl..... You should do shrine of oryx on heroic Get the last checkpoint > kill all acolythes > keep the ogre alive > kill yourself > repeat that Gives 1-3 black wax idol each time you do this and around 300 glimmer xD This method is used from day 1 after release -.-'

Drop him to half health and after that it's infinite waves of harpies, and yellow hobgoblins. 200 +- 6 glimmer every 30 seconds or so if my aim is accurate. About 4000 glimmer every 10 minutes if you include the axiomatic beads they drop and all the engrams you'll break down later.

4 RepliesEasier way! 1. Launch Destiny 2. Go to Earth Patrol 3. Spawn, turn left, go down stairs. 4. Kill the 3 Hive yellows 5. Rinse and repeat. They will drop a Black wax every 3rd or fourth time. I get 5-10 per 10 minutes when done right.

the awakening-heroic. let the ogre/thralls kill you along with a vestige. 11 yellow acolytes 1 red knight 1 yellow knight loads of glimmer, black wax idols & codexs

2 RepliesI farm mines on The Dark Beyond Mission on the Moon, where you open The Temple of Crota lots of hive comes out, just don't kill the Knight. After you're done with all the enemies kill yourself and start again lol

17 RepliesThe earth spawn is good, because you'll also get a better Engram drop rate since you're not dying. Death penalizes Engram drop rates.

The 3 hive elites at the start of the earth patrols, seems just as productive, but you need someone up top to keep the 2 NPC areas clear.
