So a couple things I would like to add to the discussion.
1st - The dude is entitled to his opinion. That being said I think he's wrong. I like to have the option of doing things the easy way when I don't have the time to spend and do it the more challenging way when I do have the time and the ambition.
2nd. Due to the random drop of gear in the raid, you are actually encouraged to do the raid as often and quickly as possible. If you have a job and family you may not have the 4 hours to spend to get through with a mish-mash crew of whoever you could get including the 12 year old you had to mute after 30 minutes or go mad. The kicker is, you may spend the hours on the raid and get sharded ( a lot like shafted) whether you did it the long way or the short way. If you were guaranteed gear of a certain type when you finished something I could agree it would feel like I earned it but I may have done the raid half a dozen times just to get one piece of armour I need so I feel I earned that SOB several times over by the time I get it. Before we get all purist we need to remember the dynamics of the game. Once I have all my level 32 gear I can get picky about the type of raids I want to do, until then I got to roll with the crew I've got and hope something good drops.
