*EDITED*
I didn't know Iron Banner sold level 36 gear (as people are telling me), so this post is moot...I'm on level 31 anyways, and thanks for the funny responses...how I love what people say on the internet. I never thought about level 32 being necessary only for raid purposes, so I guess I don't need it
And if you are wondering, I DO RAIDS, but I do not get good drops, so it was just an idea

Lol the Hunter is butt-hurt he didn't get let into a raid group.
-
Just wait til light level goes up again and you can buy your way to one less than max.
-
Just do the raid then
-
You're an idiot
-
Banner gear was only 33 light this time. Banner 2.0 you could get 30 light gear equal to the VoG gear. But this latest one (3.0) the gear was the same as vendors, max level you can get to with it is 31.

Edited by Lead: 1/7/2015 3:49:42 PMNothing guarantee that Iron banner will sell 36 light gear. IB 2.0 may have been a exception for selling light 30 gear and that occurred like 2 weeks before the new DLC drop.. if i remember , they changed the gear drop algorithm so the full set drop more often in the CE Raid. so raider won't be stuck forever at 31 like VoG. (or less) so don't expect IB to sell light 36 gear before March..
-
The last Iron Banner NEVER sold a light level 36 gear. Only 33 Light gear for boots and gloves*. Reedit that shit out.
-
Why does it matter? Lvl 32 is unnecessary for anything outside of the raid...
-
Get good
-
You only need llvl 32 for hard mode raid, pretty much pointless if you are not doing the raid.
-
Iron banner only sold 33 light gear i thought? And i agree with you in a sense. You should be able to reach max level out of end game but only be able to have top notch gear from end game. Maybe less defense/perks on non raid gear and less light (make light not affect level) then have raid gear with actual perks like exotics do and the hard raid require 31/32light so you have to play normal raid to do the hard However raids should be where you get the best stuff so people will still be butthurt about this
-
raids should be the ONLY way to get armor, if you are a pvp fag get real skill and do the raid nuff said
-
I thought this post would never be far away from those COD lovers.
-
Someone call the waaaaambulance!
-
U dont even have to beat crota to get all the armor.. u can solo all the parts that reward it to u lol...
-
no one else agrees, bye bye then!
-
There is no need to be level 32 unless you are Raiding? What good is level 32 in regular Crucible? Do you need to be level 32 to beat Atheon--even on Hard? Do you need to be level 32 to beat the Nightfall or ROC Strikes?
-
Sorry, but there needs to be some advantage to socializing in an online game; otherwise, why do it? Moreover, there needs to be added rewards towards playing on a team, as a team, and using tactics and organization. It's that simple.

Edited by Erijian: 1/7/2015 3:37:56 PMSo why do PvP players need to be able to reach Level 32 again when stats don't matter in the normal Crucible Playlists? Oh, Iron Banner? You mean that PvP game mode aimed towards bringing PvE players into the Crucible to stomp with the things they earned? Sorry, no can do. By the way, Iron Banner gear only gets you to Level 31 so dream on.
-
I used to be like you then I actually did the Raid (Legit) and hit 32... I'm gonna poo all over the Hard mode!
-
Nope nope nope. If you aren't doing the raid you don't need to be past 30 since everything except for crota is 30 or below.
-
Just goes to show that even Bungie agrees that PvP is a joke on this game.
-
Iron banner never sold light level 36 gear.

I only agree on the basis that there should be another option for LVL 32 gear. Variety, is a huge key that is missing. We have all these guardians we learn about (grimoire cards) but yet no gear to associate them with. The Vault of Glass raid gear could have been based off those guardians that were erased from time, thus solving/finishing the story. Kabr's gear is present for the titans but what about warlocks or hunters. Hezen, maybe but prime zealot doesn't sound like a name. Exotics get you to 32, so no change needed there. As for how you come by this 32 legendary gear, that is where I have differing views. This game in a way pushes the PvP player away as there is no way to achieve highest rank without playing PvE. I feel there should be a guaranteed PvP area that drops LVL 32 gear. Similar to Ironbanner and Osirus in that your gear and weapons matter. Think of it as a ranked arena with mixed gametypes, yes mixed you have to perform well in different environments. The drops are all RnG but to a degree rely on your performance in each match. I don't think it should be like Ironbanner in that you reach a certain Rep LVL and then just purchase the gear. A certain Reputation LVL unlock gauntlets for drop, another few and you unlock boots, and so on... You gain rep for wins, bonus for K/D benchmarks or large multikill medals. Lose rep for a loss (minimal), reduce amount lost by getting bonus rep from K/D benchmark and medals Past this I don't think any 32 gear should be purchasable...

Why do you need lvl 32? If you are not going to play raid/hard raid it's nearly pointless Daily, weekly, strikes, pvp all can be easily accomplished by a lvl 31 If you are not going to do the raid it's pointless to want that lvl.
-
Disagree. Play the game as it was intended. Besides, raids are the best part of Destiny.
