Light 36 armor obtained through Raids only is UNFAIR

I didn't know Iron Banner sold level 36 gear (as people are telling me), so this post is moot...I'm on level 31 anyways, and thanks for the funny responses...how I love what people say on the internet. I never thought about level 32 being necessary only for raid purposes, so I guess I don't need it
And if you are wondering, I DO RAIDS, but I do not get good drops, so it was just an idea

2 RepliesYou dont have to be 32, you can do everything in the game at 31 so whats the big deal with wanting to be 32? The raid is supposed to be the hardest part of the game, it is a door and the best gear is behind it. If light level 36 gear just dropped from anything it would defeat the purpose of making a raid in the first place. The way i feel is if you cant beat the raid then you dont deserve the gear. There are tons of people cheesing and soloing this raid and getting their gear, and you may not want to get it that way but it will get you to level 32, but if you dont want to put in the work than you dont deserve the gear.

I will be 31... when HOW comes out, if the limit is 36, I'll be 35. I really do not like grinding the same raid over and over. At least the Vanguard strikes have a little variety (not much but better than none).

Seeing as though you have no completions on vog or crota I think this whole post was a waste of time. If you don't raid why complain about not getting gear from raids?

Except it does help (minimally) in Iron Banner where your level actually matters and you'll be going up against others with Level 32 raid armor.

4 RepliesIron Banner doesn't sell 32 gear... At least not yet anyways. Last one had light level 33 to get you to 31. And being 32 really only benefit you for raids. Good luck on your future drops!

4 RepliesOne, I have tried the website to get a tam together for the NightFall (Since most of my friends worship the Dark Side (PS4)) and still have yet to get into one. Have tried them by myself but not finished one yet (will keep trying). The main thing that seems to be overlooked is , yes Level 32 for raids mostly, but when the new DLC comes out that increases the Light MAX the Level 32s will have an advantage over the Level 31s and below. Their should be a way for solo players to reach level 32 as well....

You can solo any part of crotas that gives you the gear you need to be lvl 32 except the helmet.

This raid has nothing on the low drop rate of vog. There is way more 32s then there was 30s before dlc came out. If you are really have that bad of luck just keep remaking guys and doing the raid takes less then a day

But you can do most of it by yourself? Then get a team for death singer and Crota. Keep in mind you can get everything from those to loot drops except the helmet. So you can be a 32 if you just Cheeeesssseeeeee! If you'd like. If not wine all you want doesn't bother anyone one bit :)

1 Replywell apart from raiding what do you need 36 light gear for, not pvp unless iron banner. so if you need to be top level for raiding, gear should come from the raid. simple.

I disagree.. it should stay where it is... its the very reason why guardians run the raids.. and if its available outside of it.. raid missions will be rendered useless..

Iron Banner gear from the last IB did not sell 36 light gear. Maybe the next one will.

1 ReplyI agree, there should be more than one way to skin a cat, and it shouldn't all be PVE Raids or PVP Iron Banner. However, it is a real pain in the ass to get via the raid, which makes it special to hit that level.... I mean (not saying CE is tough, just the concept) doing the hardest portions of the game should reward players with something greater than people who don't do the most difficult portions of the game. That's how it should work... you do the tough stuff, you get the good stuff. You don't do the tough stuff, you don't get the good stuff. Plain and simple. That said, I think you should be able to buy a voucher from the Vanguard Handler for ~200 Vanguard Marks, and take it to Xur or something, and get something like an Exotic Bounty (though, not Exotic per se... let's say a 'Light Bounty') that once you complete the tasks involved in the bounty, you gain a piece of Light +36 Armor. I think they should be tough too... Maybe harder than the Thorn Bounty. Because then you are basically doing the same thing as Raiders are doing, just alone.

No. It's not. It's supposed to be one of the main gameplay aspects of the game. PvP is not what the game was designed around

Iron Banner prob won't have 36 Light gear until just before House of Wolves drops and they increase the cap again, just like they did with the IB before CE dropped.. The last IB only had Light 33 gear.
