I'm going to say I didn't read the entire thread, but the core argument is solid. I don't believe banning people is the right way to go. I think that looking at people's raid history, who was fireteam leader, and seeing if they disconnect x amount of time after the Crota encounter starts, then seeing if it happens multiple times over the course of that accounts playing history. Anyone who was part of that raid team has any Crota loot removed from inventory, replaced by some number of radiant shards. The game could be tweaked that those players in the fireteam are guaranteed to have their old items drop after x completions of Crota (after the exploit is fixed obviously). The fireteam leader has all loot removed and gets nothing back with no guarantee of a drop. I think that's fair and sends the right message.
