The gravemind
-
Mendicant Bias. As you may have know, during the forerunner-flood war, Mendicant Bias was designed to combat the flood, but he was not gifted with combat experience and was captured whilst fighting the grave mind, he mini pulsates him, corroded him and made him turn on his creators and fight WITH the flood. When the forerunners found out, they made Offensive Bias to combat Mendicant Bias. He won and scattered pieces of him all throughout the galaxy. Each piece was a piece of his personality. One was wisdom, which was found by the prophets and became "the oracle" and since he was damaged, he set their beliefs for the war to come. The one that was talking backwards was the piece of regret. He was the most whole part and was still semi sentient so roamed the galaxy seeking forgiveness. The piece of him shone in the halo 5 trailer is (my speculation of course) anger, wanting revenge and master chief knows he is the closest connection to the forerunners, his only hope for Cortana to return, he can access with his AI.

Which one? Or is there only one in Halo 2? Anyway, it's heavily implied to be Mendicant Bias.
-
I think he means the Gravemind cutscene.
-
He means this.

Embarrassing.
No way, I thought this was the message that was backwards during the original cutscene with the Gravemind/Arbiter and 343. Can you access this in MCC, if so where? I did H2 solo on Legendary on MCC and I must have missed it.
Gravemind and outskirts were my bane. Those two took me the longest. ={
-
Gravemind took me just shy of 2 hours; did you get on the rooftops in outskirts
-
Edited by Reign of Bane: 1/7/2015 7:59:56 PMSorry it was Metropolis not Outskirts. Jackal Snipers, that bit alone cost me too many lives and time/score. Rest of the level was np. Yes with Outskirts I used the rooftops, a lot easier that way. Near the end of Gravemind after one of light bridges I managed to grenade jump myself up on the roof. It's much easier to do the rest.
-
Yea metropolis is a bitch. I mentally blocked Gravemind out of my head.. So I barely remember lmao
-
I don't blame you, that bit with the lift and the Flood was a pain in the arse. Lmao
Bet you got your HelioSkrill armour for the Beta now, fair play dude =}
-
The very beginning was the most frustrating. And Helioskrill is tight
-
Helioskrill is the best
The very beginning was the most frustrating. And Helioskrill is tight
The beginning was a bitch, I know. I saw a guy rocking it the other day. It felt good to kill him lmao

So, this song plays in Halo 2 Original during the cutscene where the Arbiter is carried through the jails. It's in the same place in Halo 2 Anniversary, however, this time, it's basically the Didact's epilogue speech backwards.
-
All hail Forthencho! Nice one =}
-
Yeah Lord of Admirals was right about which one. When it says "I live in a prison of my own demise. I am lost...in time" I thought it was talking about Ur-Didact. But it does make more sense being Mendicant Bias.
-
Sweet, It would as the master builder and Didact were his master, before he was infected.
