Because their time has come & gone. It's stupid to think your gear should grow with you... You level up, play new areas, unlock new gear. I like that right now the options are elemental damage with less punch, or more punch but only kinetic damage. It allows for more variety is load outs. I see plenty of people rocking confluence still and happy with 300. New elemental weapons are coming and you just need to be patient.
