If the weapon damage was increased, then the light on the raid gear would have to increase too. Why? Because it just doesn't sound right making only the weapons 2.0.
I think they should allow DLC owners to upgrade the gear so that there would be more variety. People walking around level 32 looking like Vex. Some like the Hive. Then a question would show up: Why do the Crota raid if you can get to 32 from VoG? Well everyone wants the weapons too and in Crotas End you always get the raid gear. So, it all just kinda evens out.

You don't "always get the raid gear" in CE. I thought bungie was touting they fixed issues like the VOG gear being so random, yet I didn't get jack-crap from CE last night on my titan, and in several runs even beating Crota I'm not getting crap. Eveyrone proud of their new blackhammers, or Crotas hunger, dude why do I get shafted I've gotten 1 SINGLE crap weapon from beating crota so far, a worthless shotgun called Swordbreaker. Same crap with nightfalls, I run it with a friend he gets an exotic every SINGLE NIGHTFALL. The last 8 nightfalls I ran I have not gotten a SINGLE exotic, nothing but crappy legendary machine guns.

Hey, I'm right there with you. I'm not surprised when I get coins from the nightfall. However, I thought the new raid gear dropped very often. Well at last I heard.
