I play Destiny way too much and like it but don't understand why it got such low ratings from critics. Do you all agree?
Update: I agree with all comments and understand.. We can only hope they fix this for Destiny 2.

... if you've been playing this game for any reasonable length of time you'd understand. It's lacking massively in story and content. I complete the new DLC content within a week of it being released (raid included). While I still enjoy playing, it's very flawed and lacking on a LOT of levels. Bungie is going to need to deliver big time if it wants to retain Destiny gamers. I see you have 2 characters and they are both under Level 30 .... I'll be interested to hear from you when you have 3 characters all Level 31+ :)

Yeah, I'm not sure why they gave it a 6. It felt like it should have been a 3 or 4 for effort, like getting 4th place at a science fair. Gamespot was probably just being generous.

Edited by Swiftlock: 1/5/2015 6:32:06 PMBecause not all game reviewers have the time to pour hundreds of hours into a game before it gets good. They have other stuff to play, y'know. That, and the whole... lack of content, unsatisfying story, the fact that the core game is only there to set the stage for DLC packs, over-hype, etc. etc.

Because it is a mediocre game.

The way they marketed it and the way they release content is shady as all hell.

Edited by therusmisel: 1/5/2015 6:31:05 PMNot very much content, story missions and strikes have horrendous level design, artificial game padding , story telling is awful. If they included all the dlc that they were selling to us and took out the game padding it would be the shooter of the decade.
