While wearing the starfire protocol chest and using gift of the sun while you have fusion grenades equipped the result should give you three grenades but only give you two
-
I can already hear the "fans" complaining about how op it is, and it should be nerfed.
-
Can it work on void walkers
-
Not a bug. It intentionally doesn't stack. Use the first perk that lights everybody on fire with your grenades. Then use Viking funeral. Last, use thorn. Pure op dot goodness.
-
It's not supposed to give 3 Grenades. The perk of starfire protocol is there so you can have 2 perks of that tree selected so you can be even more deadly.
-
I have a 30 Titan and I'm starting a Warlock. I've been doing some research on Warlocks. Is this good gear for a Warlock? I'm only at level 8 so I've got a ways to go before I could use it. Worse case scenario that I buy it, don't need/like it and shard it.
-
The exotic helmet for Titans. Helm of inmost light. It gives you two abilities in your skill tree so you can put on something else. Putting on the same skills as the helmet doesn't do anything. Starfire protocol acts in the same manner, although it binds fusion grenades and gift of the sun together. That's how I see it at least.
-
I'm disappointed to the fullest.
-
No, it wont stack to 3.

Edited by HUSH184: 1/23/2015 11:04:20 PMGiven the wording it should in all cases give you 3 fusion grenades with Gift of the Sun. Or add a fusion grenade to any other grenade equip so you can alternate with 2 available. Touch of Flame is mostly useless with fusion since it kills most things you'll throw it at, majors/ultras aside. Would be nicer if it just gave you Angel of Light ability instead imo.
-
Agreed
-
-
Or at least work with all grenade types like Armenentium
-
Btw I bought it for the 52 rounds of vex ammo. That in itself made it worth it for me. Same as heart of praxic Fire and lucky raspberry. I like my extra vex. I find it way more useful than a fusion grenade. I stuck a reaver captain with my fusion grenade patrolling Venus. Took two to kill him. Not like these grenades are game changers. They'd be way better if they exploded twice like the titan grenade.
-
Having three grenades would be pretty pointless. You'd spawn with three, yeah, but once you use them you'd be waiting the same amount of time for recharge as you would with one or two, since they only recharge one at a time. Put touch of flame on instead and burn everything to the ground!
-
Change your skill tree to angel of light and Viking funeral and you'll have 2 grenades and more perks active.
-
Edited by HypobaricPiano: 1/5/2015 6:13:40 AMThis is nothing like the Helm of Inmost Light, and should stack with Gift of the Sun. Gift of the Sun allows the Warlock to carry two grenades. Starfire Protocol allows the Warlock to carry an additional Fusion grenade. This is not a very powerful ability in the slightest, and something should definitely be done to improve it. I propose allowing for 3 Fusion grenades, changing it to allow an additional grenade of any type, or even buffing the other two skills in that tree, go actually give you a reason not to run Gift of the Sun 24/7.
-
Sadly 2 is the max. They should've clarified that somehow. But my advice would be; use Heart of the Praxic Fire or Sunbreakers instead.
-
2 is the max you will ever get in the game noob....surely its not that hard to figure out.
-
2 grenades is the max, I recommend choosing one of the other perks on the sunsinger class now that you don't have to use the 2 grenade perk anymore.
-
Oh my Miku in heaven, when are people going to stop bitching about this piece of EQ!? It doesnt give you 3 because its not designed to work that way. It free's up having to use Gift of the Sun so you can stack either Angel of Light or Touch of Flame. End of Conversation.
-
Meh i just use it as an excuse to run the DoT on all grenades instead of gift od the sun. That way its like a free skill point.
-
They really should fix it
-
No, this is definitely not working...if you equip Angel of Light, you should have 2 fusion grenades with Starfire Protocol equipped and upgraded...WRONG...you still just have 1 fusion grenade.
-
What a noob.
-
I had hoped for 3 grenades as well, but if you are familiar with any of the gear, none of the stats stack. If you wear 2 pieces of armor that say gives you "Extra Heavy Ammo", you do not get double extra ammo. You get the same amount whether you have one piece of armor or 3. The stats don't stack. So the chest piece isn't broken. It just isn't what we had hoped. Believe me, I hoped for a 3rd grenade as well, but was not surprised in the least when it didn't happen.
-
Well people complaining about the vex and many other guns result in changes i see no reason why the devs couldn't make this chest give you 3 grenades you still have to wait for them to regenerate but having the ability to hit an ultra or major with 3 grenades would be worth wearing the chest considering that as a whole the helmets are the best exotics to wear
