I've commented in 3 or 4 posts today, the topic? People are whining about not receiving their gifts from Bungie. I just want to make clear something and I hope some of you would agree with me. First off, it's not after the holidays. In case you haven't noticed New Years Day is actually a holiday, more people get excited for the night before but it is still a holiday. Bungie said AFTER the Holidays, meaning from tomorrow on you can look but not today. Also Bungies employees aren't servants who just sit around and give people stuff because they whine about wanting it, they have lives and families too, you should be able to respect that in all the days that they work for our further enjoyment of the game, they only get a couple days off and this is one of them. For those of you complaining you probably aren't working in fact you probably just sit around and play Destiny all day, so I actually can't expect you to understand but seriously give them a break. Second of All, Don't Be Expecting a Game Changing Gift (Pretty Much Meaning an Exotic) Bungie said stocking stuffers, last time I checked sizes Gjallerhorn can't fit in a stocking. I read I think it was DeeJ himself that said in a post not to expect an exotic, in fact it may be an emblem even. Although there is evidence that points to our gift being a Legendary Engram, possibly more than one, it wouldn't surprise me that much if it were something like Halloween although instead of a Jackolyte maybe a Santa hat or a holiday coloring for our EV-30 Tumbler Sparrows. The gift will probably be fun, but nothing truly game changing. If it is indeed an engram or two we receive, there could be a slight possibility for an Exotic and you could call me wrong. I think an engram however could symbolize what Christmas really is, when you get a present your not sure what it is and yet you still have hopes for it being what you want. Getting a rare engram from a legendary would represent getting something you don't care about, getting a legendary from a legendary represents getting what you wanted, and finally getting an exotic from a legendary represents getting what you really wanted but didn't think you would get. People will be happy and others sad, I just say suck it up and move on. Third thing, some advice. I guess I'm just going to say this plainly for what it is. You whiners need to get off your asses and actually try to play the game instead of just waiting around for Bungie to help you out or gift something to you. If you actually put a bit of effort in and take on the VoG or a Nighfall Strike you'll have a better chance of getting the exotic or legendary you wanted and even faster than just waiting around for a holiday gift hoping to get lucky. I can't deny I wouldn't like to be able to get Atheons Epilogue or maybe SUROS Regime from a gifted engram but I would rather try to win that Atheons Epilogue by actually taking on Atheons in the VoG than just praying to Bungie that they might wake up with it in their inventory one day. Guess what? *Bitch Slap* It ain't gonna happen!
