The VoC finally dropped for me this week. It's one of those weapons I've wanted since first hearing about it. But, with the new DLC weapons, and a higher max damage, is the VoC still "upgrade worthy"?
I have the MIDA (2.0V) fully upgraded, as well as a brand new Badger CCL waiting in the wings. With that in mind, using the MIDA as my primary has me constantly swapping equipped weapons, as I need the benefits of Ice Breaker, or Super Good Advice...etc., etc. And as you know, there goes half of your ammo. If the VoC or Badger is a worthy MIDA "replacement", it keeps me from equipping different weapons quite so often.
I can't help but think it's only going to matter during a raid/strike with >30 level enemies. It's then that I'll see the benefit of the higher base damage from the newer weapons. Is that completely off? Your thoughts are appreciated!

Since you won't use those energies on anything else it's worth it, it wrecks any solar burn nfs, and the only place it (I assume) will be useless will be hard CE

Totally worth it. Still one of my top 2 primaries.

It's probably one of the most excellent primaries in the game. Full auto and solar dmg really keeps it up with the slight advantage the other weapons have in overall damage

Primary VOG weapons are still great. Night falls are a joke with the VOG primaries. Definitely upgrade it.

Great for those burn nightfalls or if you need to take down some shields. Athens epilogue is shit and I got it after the dlc but I'm still investing in it for nightfalls and stuff

Until we get our hands on the new CE primaries, the VoG primaries will be of great use and importance. IMO, the VoC is easily the best scout rifle in the game... even at 300.

I use mine all the time, pvp and pve very worth it imo
