Honestly I've taken to saying that I'm "fixin' to" do things
I have mixed feelings on it. Not sure what to do other than try to squelch it out while I can

If it goes to "I'm fittin' to do"... then you've got a problem. Besides, you still don't have the hat, so I think that yer safe.
