Badger CCL - Best Scout Rifle
Got it from Legendary engram, perks are "precision kills drastically increase reload speed" and "ADS increases effective Range". This thing has wonderfully balanced stats and reloads SO quickly. I haven't maxed it yet, but does anyone else have any personal experience or input with this rifle?

I like the satrienne rapier a little better. Much better rate of fire, mine has outlaw,snapshot, and third eye. Closest legendary scout to mida that I've received. I do have a badger with firefly,explosive round, and last bullet damage. It wrecks, just fires and aims to slow for me. My sat rap also has the reddot sight.

Luck in the chamber and mulligan... I'm not a big fan of mulligan but the gun is still very solid.

The only thing i dont like about mine is the clip size. Mine has luck in the chamber, explosive rounds and third eye though so its a pretty good scout rifle. Love my VoC though....

If you can get it with the voc perks then it's a great scout. Does more damage stock than a fully upgraded voc. Hopefully the crota raid scout will be a voc replacement.

Badger is awesome! But stock perks in the Rapier are better, IMO. And for anything besides CE, VoC is still king

I picked one up the other day with the stagger perk and precision kills cause explosions perk... best gun ive ever played with.

I have it maxed out with the firefly perk. Its amazing!

Mida is my favorite precision instrument - the Badger is my new favorite hammer. Got a wicked stat roll with Zen, flared magwell (in preference to high calibre or explosive), and firefly. If I was being fussy I'd say the mag is too short, but a maxed reload stat goes a long way to correcting that.

I wish it had field scout like the A1F had. Overall it's the best you can buy tho.

I've got this, VoC and the calling - I personally much prefer the badger CCL myself. It's a great scout rifle, well balanced for sure and the explosive rounds is a great addition. Fully-upgraded here and use it as my primary in virtually any PVE situation. It's good in PVP also, but my go to primary in crucible will always be the Suros. Underrated scout rifle; great gun.

The fire rate on the badger is a little slow for me I personally prefer the vision or the calling

1 ReplyI still haven't decided what will replace Fatebringer on Crota HM. Honestly, I think I will wait to see how much Fatebringer is gimped. The fact that my Raid chest gives me auto rifle ammo perk, I'd like to run an AR for that bonus, but... In the wings, I have a few ready for the challenge test… Monte Carlo 2.0 (top spot for now due to ammo perk and being a little faster at killing targets coma red to Suros) Suros 2.0 (close 2nd to Monte Carlo but takes more time to kill stuff) Red Death 2.0 (maybe a good choice for final Crota fight for the health perk from kills) Vex (like Fatebringer, we'll have to see how much the weapon is gimped against a lvl 34 enemy) Badger CCL (stock vanguard model) My wish list would be… getting as a drop TDYD with better perks than stock, or the Crucible HC with slightly better perks. I'd also love to give HawkMoon 2,0 a try, but don't have that yet.

I have badger ccl with explosive rounds, high caliber rounds (what I use, it almost doubles my crit shots dps) firefly and one perk that increases reload time with crit shots (don't remember what it's called) I'm doing almost 1000 per crit shot on normal enemies! And it's not even upgrades all the way. It's like have another sniper!

I like b-line trauma better. doesnt have the impact like badger but mine has firefly and outlaw plus flared magwell. that combined with gunslingers trance and chain of woe make it pretty fun to use
