For all the praise ps4 gets......
It doesn't notify you when people are online or in voice chat? I got ps4 for Christmas and I feel disappointed in the notification system. PS4 arguably has the better launch titles in 2015 but Sony need to fix this.
I just keep my Xbox 1 for Destiny, Dragon Age, and eventually Tomb Raider and Halo 5.

You want a notification every time somebody gets online? That was one of the things that pissed me off about 360 and PS3, it's completely annoying and immersion breaking

The worst of PS4's notifcation system are the intrusive notifications you get when your controller (dis)connects. If I'm watching a movie I don't want notifications popping up.

Mine always pops up in up in upper right with online notifications and tells me in upper left when a friend joins a party or makes a party.

I think you can set it so it will tell you. You can choose which friends you want for it.

3 RepliesI would turn the notifications off anyway, I found it to be really annoying on PS3, especially when you have 50+ friends online at any given time of day.
