3 SAME characters VS
Sharing shards between 3 DIFFERENT characters is NOT the same as or even close to having 3 of the SAME character.
3 same characters have 3X drop rate for raid gear bruh!

I got boots gloves and chest on my first run through Crota. I have 2 Titans. Didn't even need em.

2 RepliesIn the vault it made sense, gear was incredibly annoying to get; but with Crota's End handing out gear like it was candy I don't see the point. In six runs I have enough gear to get both my hunter and warlock to 32, and my titan isn't far behind. I have no doubt in my mind that I'll have a full set of raid gear for each class before the hard raid comes out without ever having to delete a character and relevel or use multiples of the same class...

People have done that raid like 60 times between three of the same characters to get raid gear and still didn't get it. Way I see it is imo, if you want to play three same class characters to get gear go ahead, it's still all rng. If you want to run three times a week to give you more raffle tickets for gear, who am I to say that's wrong. I will be making a second character soon to farm coins and raid twice.

Who cares if someone wants to have 3 of the same class let them. They still have to get gear on all 3 accounts or swap gear from accounts which would be annoying.

2 RepliesEach of you paid for the game, so why the -blam!- does it matter what other people do?, its something i never understood about people, if you have 3 of the same characters it benefits you, and its easier to do the raids across all 3 characters and you have a better chance at getting the gun you want in nightfalls, bottom line if you paid for the game play it how the -blam!- you want. And if your a little bitch and pouting about people having 3 of the same characters grow some balls and shut the -blam!- up and revive some more blue engrams.

5 RepliesI use all three 3 classes. It's takes a while to get the armors but it's worth it. I got all level 30 by doing the VOG. And now I am trying to do the same for the new raid. If u use one character ur playing 33% of the game! And destiny itself isn't a full game! So ur playing 16% of the game.

8 RepliesI've seen a lot of huffy people on the forum (those with 3 of the same that is) trying to make this argument - pathetic comeback It's like "no, its not the same, at all in fact..the only similarity is that gear is being transfered" We're not running VoG/CE to get 3 chances at armor for one char/toon

The increased drop rate on pieces fixed most of the problems of vog. Having 3 of the same is not as much a benefit anymore.

As of the new DLC, it doesn't matter that much anymore as armor drops quite often and getting 3 pieces is not that difficult anymore.

9 RepliesThe raid gear has increased drops. So in Crota's end the only level block is shards. Having 3 characters gets you around that. 3 of the same class was a by product of VoG having crappy drop rates on gear. I don't know anyone who doesn't have all the gear, they just need shards.
