We want cross-gen Destiny!
It's time to allow cross gen for destiny! For so long players have been complaining that they can't play with their friends who haven't gotten next gen consoles or can't afford to. Bungie constantly says they are trying to build a community of togetherness and cooperation, why not let us play with our friends in the same console family?
I understand the argument about better hardware giving an unfair advantage but that advantage could very well be due to the TV the player is using and I think the benefits of being able to play with friends on older consoles far outweighs the negative aspects (are there any really??).
So c'mon Bungie, give the people what they want! Let me know what you think Guardians

My experience would increase massively due to my mates who still play Destiny but on PS4. The Xboxers got bored and sold the game but still got mates playing on PS4. I didn't think it was possible but someone corrected me and said Final Fantasy does this and another game I can't remember. Pretty sure a generational cross over would be impossible though.

1 ReplyI think it should be cross console more than gen. Everyone should be pushing towards the new gens anyways. Elder scrolls online will be cross console and cross gen when it finally comes out so it must be possible

3 RepliesI'll tell you what happens with FFXIV, which is a cross-gen game: People despise PS3 users and ignore them. I would find that acceptable, since yes, our loading times are way faster, but no; It had to derivate to behavior comparable to racism. Besides, do you even realize the ammount of ragekids that would pop up becauses of the advantage of nextgen over PS3 and Xbox360? I find the decision of separating every version quite acceptable.
