Attack On Titan is not really related genre wise to Death Note, although you can argue that since it is a bit gritty. It's a good anime though, I would watch it if I were you. If you want more psychological type animes though I'd go with~ Monster Zankyou no Terror Baccanno! Durarara! Mirai Nikki Psycho Pass Darker than Black Higashi No Eden Another Btooom! Steins; gate Ergo Proxy Code Geass Hamatora Most of these give off a similar vibe to Death Note. It'll be very apparent in some and a bit more hidden in others.
