Since I have a friend who is a brony, I decided to check out the opening, you know the thing you watch before the show and supposed to put you in the mood?
Like the Justice League. Awesome show and an equally as awesome opening, given that it's a brilliant heroic them.
But that was really...wow. It just further makes me question how 15/16 year olds can watch it.
Also, why do alot of bronies like to "ponyfy" everything? Like making a pony of warhammer, starcraft and even Batman. In some scenarios they edit ponys into pictures of them, and sometimes act as if they're in a relationship with them.

The intro is often cited by the Brony community as being incredibly misleading. We concede that all the time. It's girly and sugary as hell, but the show itself actually has some degree of depth to it - at least more depth than other shows aimed at that demographic. There are some weird people in the fandom yes - a lot of them, actually. But that goes for every fandom. I don't understand anime fans, people who like country music, or people who find South Park funny. But that doesn't mean those people are stupid; they just have different tastes.
