What started as a great big slap to the face of many who would be getting new video games, in my opinion, is the best thing that could have possibly happened on Christmas.
Christmas is about giving gifts, eating good food and spending time with family and the ones you love, and more importantly to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Xbox has a way of breaking those habits and isolating gamers from all others. So, while the servers are down, people really have no choice but to sit down and have a nice cup of cocoa with the folks.
And I think you'll realize that you'll be the better for it.
Merry Christmas everyone, and have a blessed New Years.

I didn't take in consideration things like Skype and video chat for people who use it to communicate with others over long distances or parents who have gotten their kids xboxes for Christmas, and if that's the case, I apologize.
This wasn't meant to be a douche post, just my personal opinion on family time in the holidays. No need to get so worked up. If it bothers you, move on.

Some people don't have families, others have spent 10+ hours with such people. I myself spend much time online and was very let down I didn't get to see my PS brothers and sisters on Christmas. Life comes in much more variety than you're teeny tiny little world you live in. Poke your head out, take a look, maybe you'll see something different than what the mirror shows you...
