Cheating? Really? First of all, taking advantage of, and exploiting, a flaw in a game isn't cheating, its a glitch. At that point you're doing Bungie a favor by bringing to light the flaw and showing them exactly what their next update should patch. Second, unless you're the one that paid the $60 for each of their games, you have no right to dictate the way they decide to play and/or beat the game. Now, if they were an unsupportive group and even put you down for deciding not to play the game their way then they should absolutely be reported, both to Microsoft and Bungie, to keep the community from being matched with people like them.
