Actually high end raid leaders in WoW would put it on their resume. Leading a team of people through a raid full of mechanics where everything has to be spot on, dealing with interpersonal squabbles, and everything else that comes with running a guild of 50+ people and managing multiple raid groups shows good management abilities.
You have to make your case, but, especially if people take it seriously, it's really not different than being a manager. Assigning tasks, making decisions in stressful situations, so forth and so on. In any case having that on their resume has aided people on gaining employment.
Not saying that Destiny is there, but it's a different perspective. In the end you are still dealing with people. Whether you care about those people will determine how "real" that experience is.
