Yeah but there's a difference between exploiting game mechanics and exploitibg anetwork code glitches. With game mechanics that's on Bungie (pushing Templar/Atheon, finding safe spots at a strike boss, even the last second warlock revives). But glitching via network disconnects, that's shady. I'd put it in the same general category as inducing lag on your system to get more kills in the crucible or hacking the network traffic on you console to get extra ammo.

  • This is still a game mechanic, just a bad one. Just because a host lags out doesn't mean your game code should fail to recognize time passing and leave crota down. It would be similar to unlimited time's vengeance or the Templar's shield staying down if the host lags out. There should be a backup system in place to but there just isn't. Just like the bridge self res is a bad game mechanic, this is as well.
