If people get banned for breaking a user agreement, good luck playing their [b]own[/b] copy of the game without Bungie's servers. I could care less, I don't and won't play with lazy people, and I run with people that do it legit. You don't own the game, you have just purchased a ticket to get on Bungie's game.

And Bungie's game allows us to do such "short cuts" its all due to their incompetence. No where (unless yourr willing to state it to me) in the user agreent says using elements of the game to complete tasks/ missions is not allowed. It's only a violation if the user modify's the game because then you're changing something that is not yours however cheesers don't modify, they use what is supplied.

Lel did you even read? The got all their credits removed and had a one day ban on earning credits.

Did you read what I typed and what you typed and what was in the article. I never specified type of ban and you used the word ban as well. I just used the word ban and posted the article so I didn't have to type everything it said.

This is not a cheese that's using the design of the game. It's a cheat intentionally manipulating an Internet connection. If somebody gets booted for firefly that has an error report just the same as somebody stopping their connection to jump back on to get loot would give them a different error report. I'm sure they also keep logs of every crota kill and it would be easy for them to filter those logs for having network manipulations seperate from the true disconnects. Who knows. Like I said I really don't care how people play but it's blatantly cheating, and there is no way you can justify it. People aren't using programs but they are doing what a program can do manually by flipping a switch or unplugging and plugging in a cable. I'm sure it will be fixed and there may be no repercussions. All they have to do is delete the loot that was looted on the cheated runs though. I'm a full supporter of cheesing but disconnect glitches are not cheese. This is cheating. I don't play with people that use this cheat, so again it doesn't affect me. In two weeks only 750-800 teams beat Crota. Since the cheat was introduced to the community over 100k completions have been done. It shouldn't even be over 2000 a week later without cheating.

The cheat is manipulating a connection to their network to cause the glitch. It is not part of the game design. You aren't fighting anything in the game at that point. You are fighting the plug boss, but getting stuff as if you fought Crota.

But then thats a fault in the game. Because one can very well just say that they disconnected during that exact moment or even the notorious "firefly" error code, which would then make it even more of Bungie's fault. Either way if there was no exploit then cheese wouldnt exist. No one hacked or modified the game to cause this exploit, Bungie released the gaming WITH this exploit AVAILABLE.
