I'm going to start off by saying the only way you are able to kill somebody in PvP with this gun is to hit all headshots, or shoot a player with less than 50 percent help, the glass half full perk does not help in anyway, even in PvE. The kill time is so long on this weapon compared to other rares or even common weapons. I would always find myself getting the drop on me whaling them with bullets and they would always have time to turn around and kill me like nothing happened. Now PvE its the same story, It's not entirely useful on Praetorians or any other enemy with a yellow health bar. The low impact of this weapon won't stagger anybody and it only is suitable for draining shields. I suggest a buff of impact, that way if you think the damage is fine it would at least stagger the weapon more frequently or 2 more damage per shot.

Indeed

All autorifles are airsoft guns. If you want to kill somebody, use a hand cannon.
-
I CAN'T EDIT POLLS SO QUIT ASKING!
-
Loved it on this weeks nightfall tho
-
You need more options in your poll. I personally wanted it to be kept the same
-
Agreed the impact definitely needs to be higher especially now with the minators in the black garden strike on the new playlist it just tickles them
-
Where's the option for "This weapon is a turd, and I buried it after I got vision of confluence" ( Real gun )

Edited by Kamen Rider Mav: 12/27/2014 3:47:25 AMTo the posters who said "This auto rifle does not need a buff in impact" and/or voted that it needs to be nerfed....you are seriously, utterly, gravely MISTAKEN! The Atheon's Epilogue is in dire need of a buff in impact. As the thread owner posted (and I fully agree with the person) about the damage of this rifle. In my opinion it does sub-par DPS and the only way to kill ANYONE in PvP is headshots and headshots only! Also anyone in this thread that said they had no problem doing the Thorn Bounty you either had help, used another weapon other than Atheon's, and/or got kills after someone weakened your opponent. The DPS on the Atheon's is 11-13, 14 when getting headshots (this is when it's fully upgraded) but I'm sure everyone knows that. So, yeah, Atheon's is only good in situations not in the Crucible but I still stand by my opinion to buff the Atheon's.

Edited by Moist Waffles: 12/28/2014 6:34:45 AMBut it's a void airsoft gun, which is the only primary useful for void burn nightfalls
-
No it isn't.
-
Edited by NOBLE SIX: 12/24/2014 2:45:17 AMThe gun is good for nightfalls and vault of glass. I used it in crucible a while back unupgraded and was able to do the thorn bounty in a very quick session. It's a legendary not exotic and it's good enough.
-
I don't think it needs to be buffed or nerfed. I agree that it's weak as -blam!- but that's also why it does void damage (kinda rare for primaries) and also has a huge mag. If it had a regular mag size, I would be singing a different tune
-
Lower your sensitivity. I played on 5 and even moving it down to 4 greatly helped with landing 99% of my shots. As long as you get your shots and they don't, you win.
-
I had no issues killing people in PvP when I was working on my thorn bounty. You just need to get precision shots as with ant weapon.
-
You need a none option, I like mine the way it is
-
Only using it if void burn available.
-
Oracle disrupter weapon. That's all it's good for. Oh, and team shotting pretorians at close to mid range.
-
If you noticed there are 2 types of Auto Rifles in this game. There is the high RoF and low impact and there is decent everything. Guess which epilogue is?
-
It's a raid gun only that's why...
-
Worked fine for me last night doing my thorn bounty.
-
No "leave as it is" option so i clicked nerf
-
Void burn nightfalls and vog oracles the only use for it.
-
It's perfectly fine to me. In fact I picked nerf over buff lol

They should give everyone a spork to fight with in crucible. That way we can stop nerfing great weapons.

Why buff old shit. It's a beast for void burn!
-
Please buff this gun
