No, because of "peer pressure". There will always be people who can claim they had no say in how to kill crota or were ignorant to the ramifications and went with the groups decision. When the banhammer comes, you can bet there will be an uproar of this; I highly doubt Bungie is willing to go through another PR nightmare. It is their game and their glitches they need to fix.
