It would be difficult to prove it was an intentional disconnect. So if I'm playing during a storm and my power goes out I would, in theory, be eligible for a ban if all things lined up perfectly? The halo glitches you mention give example of how a player would gain an advantage over another pvp player, not a pve raid boss. Different situation here.
