John leaves his house and walks 5 miles south.
He then walks 5 miles west
He walks 5 miles north and arrives at his house again to then be mauled by a bear.
What is the color of the bear's fur?
English
-
Translucent (the fur is see through and the skin is black)
-
White
-
White but he didn't die by the bear he died by cold.
-
Santa's name is john?
-
He's not at his house he's 5 miles west of it
-
Wrong. Think about it Where on earth can you go south, west, then back north to get to the exact same spot you started?

Edited by l3LUElCE: 12/23/2014 8:14:48 PMOk I forgot the earth is a sphere don't judge in from the 14th century
-
Red, from John's blood.
-
Lol i kinda like that answer, but it is incorrect.
-
Obviously purple. :b
-
Translucent. Thought polar bears hair were translucent and just reflected the snow?

Nobody ever said jokes have to be realistic.
-
I remember seeing this riddle when I was a kid it confused me sooo much. but yeah now I know because it's the way the world spins at the North Pole
-
White
-
Correct. The only place you can go south, east/west, then back north to get to the place you started is the north pole.
-
5,5,5 so a very dark grey.
-
He's not at his house he's 5 miles west of his house. It is not his house. It's a black bear because he lives 3 miles easy if the 'hood.
-
Wrong. Think about it. Where on earth can you go south, west, then north to end up at the same place?
-
Nowhere. You'll still be 5 miles from your house
-
The north pole
-
Edited by ScytheNL: 12/23/2014 7:35:10 AMNope. Draw it out. He will still be 5 miles from his house wherever he starts
-
You understand he isnt going straight for five miles, taking a right and going five miles and then taking another right and going five miles. The northernmost point you can get to is the north pole If you start at the north pole and go south Then go west Then go north You end up at the north pole again. You might be facing a different direction But you always will end up at the north pole again.
-
If he goes straight 5 miles, then right 5 miles, the walk back to his house won't be 5 miles
