Hi all,
I'm at a friends trying to sort his ps3 out, he's unable to play games as it states he doesn't have enough space for game saves etc. He's got an external HDD that I've formatted to FAT32 and created folders called PICTURE / VIDEO / MUSIC - I've also created a separate folder called PS3 and within this have created folders called EXPORT / SAVEDATA / THEME
Plugged into PS3 and got the same error when playing a game, I then realised I needed to backup from PS3 to the external HDD to create the space needed to play games.
It's when doing this I get the error message USB Device cannot be accessed - this happens at various stages in the backup (25% 42% etc, seems to get so far then fail)
any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll help you kill Crota and Atheon :)

External HDD and USB do not work with destiny (this was the same back during the halo days) So if he will need to purchase either an internal HDD which requires opening the PS3 and installing it (if he has a 4 GB PS3) or if transfer most of his stuff to the external HDD to free up room on the built in- internal HDD
