Damn dude you killed it, I didn't realize that using glitches in the game is actually written in the xbox rules. Take that cheesers.
-
Good lookin' out. I never really read the code of conduct lol Plus, Crota is easy to beat without exploits... why take that risk? Solid post Guardian.
-
Lol, says who? You?
-
You talk about play station not Xbox one or 360 that's why Microsoft is better
-
If this is all true then everyone should be banned for pushing the template off. The gamers found a loop hole and are using it for the time until a patch happens. Have you ever cheeses the template? If so ban yourself.
-
Found this in Bungie's EULA: Bungie may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Program without notice or liability. This reads to me like Bungie can decide to ban anyone for whatever they feel like banning them for.
-
Sony doesn't care and neither should you
-
Ugh, people are not going to get banned people need to learn the difference between exploiting developers poor code and forcing your own code (mods) onto a game to get an advantage (intrusion shell, anyone?)
-
Sony have bigger issues at the moment than banning the odd person.
-
I don't think you can get banned for this. This is Bungies error in the coding! It's what happens in games.. In order to progress you have to expect glitches to be found so that you can fix them. Same thing happened with the VOG. So many cheeses and yet no one got banned? If anything it's helping Bungie by showing them where the exploit is so they can find a way to resolve it. I personally don't think you can be banned for the game developers error. Just my thoughts peace.

no you wont why 1. to may people did it so they would lose to many players and stock prices would crash. 2. they did not want to pay testers so they had us beta test it this is why the hard raid is not out yet 3. they are bragging about how many people killed crota so the cheese makes it look like the dlc is good get a life stop spreading what you think is going to happen as the truth.
Do people realize the Crota cheese with the network glitch is going to get them banned? Messing with a game connection to benefit the player is against the playstation code of conduct. And there is a log of what you do in the game. I just wanted to bring this to everyones attention so that they can continue to play the game safely. Sony Entertainment Network Terms of service: "You may not modify or attepmt to modify the online client, disc, save file, server or client server communication." "You may not cause disruption to the network connection, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in game." (And Xbox Live code of conduct): F. Cheating & Tampering · Do not cheat in a game unless the developer has deliberately enabled cheats. · Do not use unauthorised hardware or modifications. · Do not exploit game vulnerabilities or glitches. · Do not make unauthorised modifications to your account profile or its contents, including but not limited to tenure, Avatar, saved games, Gamerscore or achievements. · Do not intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorised software or methods. · Do not play any illegitimately obtained software or pirated games. · Do not take any action to cause degradation of service for Microsoft or other users, including but not limited to network interference or manipulation. · Do not play a game before it has been authorised for play on the service. Edit: We have a person who was recently banned for doing this. He was told he broke the psn code of conduct that you agree on when you make an account. Edit: I don't care if you cheese. Not my problem. Play however you like to, it doesnt effect me. Im just trying to make light of a situation that could end up bad for some people. just lookin out for fellow gamers. However some trolls dont really care and will find a way to get mad. Edit: To clarify, saying this is not cheating because its "in the game and its their fault" is like saying it wasnt stealing because the cashier had their back turned.
No life
-
I've tried telling people this but no one listens, left a game earlier because this is how they wanted to do it.
-
You're an idiot if you think Sony or Microsoft give two shits what you do to Crota. The recent bans have been for modded consoles and is still ongoing. Please stop posting this garbage, you aren't getting banned for this, just like no one was banned for Atheon, the templar or the loot caves.
-
What is the point I have beaten this raid many times helping out my friends and there friends. It's a fun raid to do legit no longer then an hour to beat it and that's with a few wipes. All the people with bitch about how it's too hard once they fixit. So all that has not done it the right way needs to start practicing...
-
whats the point of chessing him, smh he's not that hard to beat
-
Well that sucks. I joined a friends Crota checkpoint and my health was regenerating and I asked why. They said because they glitches it(it wasn't explained how). I just rolled with it and moved on. Wish I knew this ahead of time I would have just went to orbit instead of helping lol. Oh well guess I'll be banned for not being psychic and helping some PSN friends.
-
Maybe people should think about this in the context that this warning should make you think about the consequences in general. I'm not innocent, I think it's the coolest thing to cheese because I don't have any desire to keep working hard for BS RNG rolls. But still. Stop being so hot and bothered.

Edited by Lutallo: 12/21/2014 8:02:54 AMThere is no modification or disruption to the network. If your application of these rules were to apply, anyone who's console has disconnected from their network should be banned. Logic doesn't hold, as many people have the occasional router problem and disconnect. You've taken it out of context, cheesing crota only requires the host to disconnect his console from his home network, there is no disruption or modification to the PSN. But I highly doubt you care if people get banned, I think the point of your post is to highlight your anger for those who cheese Crota, in that case, it is fully justified.

"You may not cause disruption to the network connection, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in a game"
1. There is no modding involved so this doesn't apply. 2. You're not causing a disruption to the network connection. You're terminating your connection to the network. The network is not affected and other players connections are not affected by you disconnecting. The game itself is affected, not the network. Edit : Typo

Agreed 100%. Whats the point of cheesing when you can do it ths fun, easier, and safer way tbh. If youre at least half good at the game, your team can take down crota with minimal issues. My fireteam kept wanting to cheese even though we do it faster the real way.
-
Ok I do agree that it is wrong but you are interpreting the words of the conduct wrong, it is not modifying it is terminating a connection, terminating a connection is not against the code, modifying is trying to change a specific section of the server or coding area to benefit yourself. Or something else as changing the server address to another server to benefit yourself for a 'head start' which can sync with the companies server. Modifying and terminating have very different meanings.

I for one believe that this little trick is not "cheesing" but cheating. The trick with pushing Atheon was cheese, the safe spot at the Archon Priest was cheese; disconnecting your console from the Internet in order to freeze a boss in place is cheating. Now this is just my own opinion and any different opinions are just that, opinions. The only opinion that really matters is Bungies and it would be great to get some official word on what their opinion about this topic is.
-
What is this "crota cheese" i hear so much about
-
You have all of these people saying you're wrong and you still think you're right?
-
Edited by P3zZeR8: 12/21/2014 6:21:42 AMUnfortunately Bungie would lose in court for failing to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the player was willfully manipulating the system.
