Having trouble finding a video that gives an easily viewable strategy for beating a raid? Want to take a picture of some awesome scenery without a gun and HUD detracting from the image? Want to take awesome pictures of your guardian, or record great stunts on sparrows? A standalone theater mode in Destiny would help with that and just about anything else you can think of! I'm really shocked that Bungie never included a theater mode in the game--it was a no brainer for Halo, and it was the medium used by so much of the community to express their creativity. Red vs. Blue thrived thanks to a theater mode, artsy screenshots captured in theater mode allowed players to explore a creative side to the game, and shenanigans among friends could be easily recorded and relived for the laughs. Why don't we have this in Destiny? Someone might pipe up and say, "but you can take videos and screenshots from your ps4 or xbone!" Yes, you can. But the ability to pan around, separate from your character, unlocks so much more for the whole community. Bungie held a competition a couple of weeks ago to see who could pull off the best sparrow stunts. The idea was cool, but I never bothered to participate because I knew I wouldn't be able to capture any stunts at the angles I wanted to, and any ideas involving multiple players performing a stunt would be too difficult to capture on screen. I think a theater mode will help players come together more as a community. If anyone working with Bungie comes across this post, please consider raising the possibility of adding in a theater mode.
