YOUR WORST LOOT DROP EXPERIENCE!
Seriously, what was the most gut-wrenching, soul-destroying post-game reward scenario you've been in?
Example:
[i]Today, I began a Roc Strike and the rest of my team left. It was the Winter's End strike, so I continued on solo.
I managed to get all the way to the Archon Priest, when two other Guardians joined me. I was happy, cuz I knew it would have been a grind otherwise. 3 minutes later, we kill him.
The reward screen comes up. One of them had 22 kills, and one had 9. I myself had 183 kills. AND WHAT DOES THE 9-ER GET? NO LAND BEYOND![/i]
What is your tale of woe? True story btw.
[b]EDIT[/b]: I didn't have plans to play with NLB, I just wanted it for my collection.
[b]EDIT 2[/b]: To all people who complain about having [i]multiple[/i] exotics, but not the one they want; two things: Get in line, and, Exotic Shards.
[b]EDIT 3[/b]: I bought NLB from Xur while he was here. Still a little miffed, but I feel better now.

True story btw.[/quote] So my brother, a level 25 hunter, has nothing above rare gear (besides cloak, but does that really count?) and found his first legendary engram. He was hopping everywhere, rubbing it in my face, the usual. He got to the tower, bragging how he would be better than me when he got this chest piece. Rahool decrypted it and a look of joy came across my face: it was a warlock chest. After that, he sorta curled in a ball, fetal position, and turned the game off. He didn't talk a lot the rest of the day.

I was carrying my level 27 friend through the nightfall last week, took two tries by the time we got to omnigul. So we go about killing omnigul, got her down to about a fifth of her health left when one of my friends friend joined, he couldn't make it to where we were and died about 4 times. We finally kill her after he comes back. my friend got 35 kills got a gjallarhorn 2.0 (I was happy for him because he doesn't have anything good, was his second exotic) the other guy got a MIDA 2.0 with a whopping 1 kill, and then there was me with 249 kills and dealing 100% of omnigul's health, got 12 ascendant shards, was so pissed but RNGesus saw this and have me a new crest of alpha lupi for my hunter later that day

HM VoG last night. We spent a good 1.5 hours just on Atheon. Some in the party were inexperienced, not enough DPS to take down oracles easily. All good, everyone was still cracking jokes and having a good time. Nobody was griefing or angry. Anyway, I walk away with a tumbler and 6 shards.

Well, I got completely trolled by the hard vog this week. I got my 6th pair of gloves and 9th (or so) pradeyth's revenge, and then nothing else except ascendant energies oh and a 3rd timebreaker.... to give you an idea why that is so bad, I've never gotten a helmet, chest, or boots. I've also never gotten a hezen's vengence, time peice, vex, or fatebringer.

3 RepliesOk. This may seem like an over exaggeration, but I'm being 100% legit with this. At this point, everyone, if not most of the people on my friends list KNOW that I am dying to get Hawkmoon. (I PvP ALOT) I remember when I first saw it drop for one of my friends/clanmates in a nightfall. "Oh I already have 3 of them." This was the start of a terrible experience. Someone else on my friends list needed help with VoG a while back so I had no problem lending him a hand. He kept pestering me saying "I'm going to get hawkmoon dude" I'm laughing it off because he wasn't getting shit for drops. We finally get to Atheon and he's at like 3% Hp. 2 of us are dead and my friend disconnected. So 2 people got teleported in and I was left outside alone. I waited around for a while but couldn't wait much longer because the 2 people were having trouble inside the portals. So I immediately said fk it and threw a Nova Bomb at Atheon and shot him a few times until he dies. My friend got back at the last second........ Hawkmoon drops for him. Everyone was laughing their ass off. I was in utter despair lol. Last but not least, Just a few days ago, I ran Crota's End with some friends. And of course, Hawkmoon drops for someone out of the first chest. I'm like ok whatever, I'm used to this. That same day, I ran VoG with mostly the same group of people... Someone got Hawkmoon out of that chest. At this point I'm like you can't be serious. THE SAME DAY, I run the nightfall with two of my friends. When he joined me, he was like " I heard what happened" and we both started to laugh. (He has 3 hawkmoons) so we finish the nightfall and the reward screen shows up. One of my friends gets a legendary weapon, I got 12 ascendant shards (of course -_-) AND MY FRIEND WITH 3 HAWKMOONS GETS ANOTHER FKING HAWKMOON. TL;DR - Hawkmoon constantly drops for people I play with, but Bungie hasn't given me the light of day. It's pretty funny tho lol.

Saw a yellow wording on the left bottom corner of the screen after I plahed a control match yesterday. I was thinking, "Oh happy days!!!l" No Land Beyond dropped for me after finishing first. Terrible. I would have taking another univeral remote over that thing.
