YOUR WORST LOOT DROP EXPERIENCE!
Seriously, what was the most gut-wrenching, soul-destroying post-game reward scenario you've been in?
Example:
[i]Today, I began a Roc Strike and the rest of my team left. It was the Winter's End strike, so I continued on solo.
I managed to get all the way to the Archon Priest, when two other Guardians joined me. I was happy, cuz I knew it would have been a grind otherwise. 3 minutes later, we kill him.
The reward screen comes up. One of them had 22 kills, and one had 9. I myself had 183 kills. AND WHAT DOES THE 9-ER GET? NO LAND BEYOND![/i]
What is your tale of woe? True story btw.
[b]EDIT[/b]: I didn't have plans to play with NLB, I just wanted it for my collection.
[b]EDIT 2[/b]: To all people who complain about having [i]multiple[/i] exotics, but not the one they want; two things: Get in line, and, Exotic Shards.
[b]EDIT 3[/b]: I bought NLB from Xur while he was here. Still a little miffed, but I feel better now.

I was doing the daily solo on 28(post DLC) just running thro doing my thing! my buddy joins right at end, like 1 kill it's over kinda end and what does it say?, My buddy Finds legendary engram and I get the AWSOME blue with 100+ kills and all the work done:/ lol no big deal I say as he laughs and I cringe, gets better tho!! After mission we go to tower and he decodes his sparkling new purple engram and what do you know BAM the dam thing turns into a "last word" and he laughed again!!:( it still burns me when ever he brings it up

Playing the ROC playlist and two of us played entire strike all the way through while the other player sat at spawn. And I think you all know what happened. The player that sat at spawn got an exotic with not 1 kill and we got 2 blue items. Been tempted to try but I know its all random.

1 ReplyI got a ONE legendary engram from a nightfall one of my characters and it turned into 2 energy. Also the same week I got 10 energy and some shit version of the devil you know on the others. It took me 3 months of doing the raid almost every week since it came out to get vog gauntlets for my warlock

I've also seen this happen 3 times.. me or one my buddies will carry the whole lobby in crucible, then we lost because our team is complete ass. We get nothing and the last place person got a thunderlord.

Well, been riding since Atheon was patched for no glitch, killed it hard mode at the end of the same week , beated it 3 times per week ever since, got 14 sparrows 4 ships, and 1 truth ( same day i bought it from Xur) , i wanted vex , everytime i kill it someone gets it, im mostly the raid leader , and i repeat the run 6 7 times with clan mates and friends saw more than 30 drop , 3 , 4 times for same guy. Now we do the runs "for pest to get Vex" . Ok first 2 dlc legendaries primaries were the same the "devil you don't" , or i can tell the first 3 times i beat Crota , 2 on first week 3 this week , no glitch, got 3 times in a row Swordbreaker, 2 Black Hammers, plus never got a exotic from drop but the Plan C , or Truth , all exotics i have are from Bounties or Xur. Still playing and enjoying the game , hoping for more loot ^^.

Me and my two friends played for a few hours one day. One of our friends was a few levels behind and didn't have any exotics. Me and my friend who was about my level each got 5 exotics in like 4 hours and the friend who was behind got nothing. It wasn't bad for me but I felt bad for my friend

7 Ascendant energies from a Nightfall strike. Added to the pile in the vault. At least with the shards I'm still a little short on them to upgrade my Vanguard armor still. But weapons? Pshhh. Only one set of those to upgrade ever.

2 RepliesTwo weeks ago I did the nightfall on 3 guardians... 1. Ascendant energy (already have more than I know what to do with). And now the punch to the nuts... Next two runs gave me the same stinkin' fwc sniper, The Chance. Screw you, rng! Screw you!

Nightfall this week, no land beyond. Then I got my one exotic that I get a month from crucible (because I tend to get one a month) and it was no land beyond... I enjoy using it in crucible, makes me feel like a bad ass, but still, I'd rather get something good from my once a month drop.

1 ReplySeriously, I've seen this happen a couple of times. I always dread when someone joins at the last minute. Anyway, my most annoying experiences are always during nightfalls. Getting 5 strange coins or useless ascendant materials is brutal. Especially when the other people get exotics. Also, this hasn't happened to me yet, but I dread getting three energies from a Crota kill. Why's this stuff even allowed?

Bought the DLC day one. Unlocked the Nightfall, competed it. Reward: 7 Ascendant Shards. I already had over 70. :|

getting a legendary engram only for it to decode as a rare or getting the purple envelope in the mail, and IT has rare engrams that are pre-expansion

After the DLC hit I went to see Xur on Friday. I had saved up a bunch of Motes since there wasn't much to use them on before. I ended up buying 6 helmet engrams... IN ORDER 2 Hunter AIDS helmet 1 Titan Saint 2 Warlock LBN 2 Titan Insurmont. My heart dropped each time I got the same helmet back to back. All I wanted was the new Warlock since its my main, even the new Hunter one but nope. A bunch of duplicates for other classes.

A rumble game I was at the top of the team and the a guy that JUST joined gets a PURPLE shotgun! And I got *drum roll* a pair of white boots that had 97 defense (I was lv 18 he was 10)
