i just did this with my galaxy tab 3. i can use the normal ds4 controller and haven't noticed lag. already had the tab so remote play cost me NOTHING. didn't have to root anything. haven't seen lag. only complaint is quality of graphics, but thats a gt3 issue. nothing to do with app, remote play or ps4

I tried this on my phablet and I wasn't impressed. With the controls all over the screen all you can do is run around the tower. Of course you can use your PS4 pad to control it but then you're trying to balance the phone somewhere close enough to see the screen. As a "damn i forgot to buy X off xur" its great but for general play it's not for me. I'm getting a Vita for christmas (to Dad, from Dad) purely for remote play so i can play destiny while the missus and I watch tele. A relaxed playing position and off screen controls will mean i'll be able to do more in the game and Vita's are cheap as chips at the moment.
