There is a pile of husk remains you can 'Disturb' in the original Loot Cave in the Cosmodrome. Has a creepy, whispery voice.
As for the tower, I heard an announcement about a tower flight controller quitting on the job, I thought that was funny considering all the updates and patches early on in Destiny!
