Weird Whispers Heard in the Game
I am surprised no one else has heard them, but there has been at least two times when I have heard someone whisper a word to me in the game. I don't remember where (maybe Venus?) or what the first one said but I do remember the second one. At the tower, I stopped talking to the Shipwright and was leaping over the twisted cords to the left and heard someone whisper "escape."
Now the first one I heard I was playing with a friend online and he did not hear it. However, the second one my brother was watching me play and heard "escape" too. So maybe only I could hear it on my screen?
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I am a level 26 Hunter and have both the expansion and have completed the main storyline.
Has anyone else heard this?

In the wakening mission Crota whispers to you a few times. I believe the first time he says "get closer". Second time he says "time to die". Third time I'm not sure what he says but it also sounds like "get closer".

13 RepliesThere's a cave in skywatch that has a charred pile of remains. You can hold square to disturb the remains and a demonic voice whispers something like "even a million gifts wouldn't satisfy master rahool". Anyone else find this?

If you pay attetion to what the fallen says you get some words like attack, get him and when you surprise them sometimes they say "its the darkness!!"

1 ReplyWould love this to be the case. Matrix style. The case of the language becoming more coherent would be incredible leading to them maybe trying to communicate I always wonder no matter what else is happening between races they drop it like its hot and go guardian kill mode... This could all lead to something amazing the game evolving or sadly lead to nothing...

If it was in the tower, I'd say you just overheard part of a Dead Orbit conversation. If it was on Venus, maybe it was an Ahamkara Easter egg?

1 ReplyI've found a few times since TBD that I get random bits of game chat. Either when I start playing or leaving a fire team. When it's done loading I'll get a second or two of audio like I'm in a party with someone with my mic unplugged. I can understand a bit of overlap leaving a fire team but not loading the game up

Yea I have heard mumbling whispers as well. I don't know what was said but it always kind of creeps me out when I hear it. I have heard it on Venus, the cosmodrome and the moon

4 RepliesHmm. Definitely interesting. I'll be on the lookout for these things from here on out. I believe you, because I wouldn't put something like this past Bungie. They love their easter eggs. If it happens again, and you're on XB1/PS4, try and get a recording. I'll be sure to do the same.

There are many examples of off hand talk in the tower, and other whispers and noises. But, are you saying you are the only one that hears them? Maybe you are hearing things inside your own head? lol
