Whenever i consult with the Crucible Quartermaster to exchange my Spinmetal for Crucible Marks, I appear to be trading Crucible Marks for Spinmetal.
I shunt my cursor to the selection of redundant materials garnered from the Game-World, highlighting, for example, "Spinmetal" and I select this option. Suddenly, my Crucible Marks move from "22/10" to "12/10" and I receive that message in the right hand side of the screen saying I have now acquired 20 Spinmetal.
Now, this would be, I guess, perfectly all right, IF there was a practical use for Spinmetal-- OTHER THAN TRADING IT FOR CRUCIBLE MARKS. So, I am making a transaction for a virtually useless item. Why is this? Why is it this issue appears to be effecting no other user of the Destiny-Bungie game world?
I would appreciate some clarification...

Sorry but it is just funny as hell. They changed it as people were complaining that they need to farm materials so bungie introduced this option with TDB I guess or even earlier (don't remember exactly). They are not worthless as you need them to upgrade your gear and weapons.
