Castlevania on the NES.
Started the love affair in Castlevania and games.
Super Castlevania also helped a lot, as did Mario games (1,2,3 and Mario N64).
....I feel old.

36 here, cut my teeth on Castlevania and a shitload of MegaMan.

Don't, our generation is what pushed games to the point we've reached today, kids now have no idea what a game with no respawns is like, or leaving a console on for days/weeks because you couldn't save...I'm 33 and will smash my grand kids someday on whatever game they chose
