Husk of the pit is NOT a beta only weapon. i just got it from a blade of crota on the moon on my level 31 character.

I've never used a black wax idol and I've gotten 5 of them.

4 RepliesBeen doing some testing, it seems while u can still get it from killing blades of crota, if you have a black wax idol on then your chances to get it Skyrocket!

1 ReplyProtip: Don't do Seige of the Warmind on Hard (Level 30) using just that gun. Myself along with two others just tried it and it took forever to do, but we finally managed to beat it.

Ha, it was a bug in the demo that made it drop for some guys but it got hot fixed and now is actually suppose to drop. This why everyone started getting it as of yesterday.
