In Cryptum, when Bornstellar finds the Didact's Cryptum, didn't he need to site a specific phrase to unlock it, or did I remember that wrong? If so, how did Chief open it in Halo 4 by saying "'Sup Infinity, this is Chief, pick up the phone" etc, etc?

It was a "song" that was triggered by Chakas and Riser's geas. For the Didact's Combat Cryptum, it presumebly needed to scan to see if the being was human (touching the pedistals) and voice authorization (Chief talking through the Cryptum).

But surely this Didact (can't remember his exact name, like the Iso-Didact) wouldn't want his Cryptum opened by a human, considering his utter disdain for his greatest enemies (bar the Flood)? Also, why did the Prometheans attack the Chief, if they were under the Libranian's control? At least, that's the impression I got from the terminal, where she raises her hand, and all the Prometheans turn blue in colour.

Ur-Didact. Well, he didn't exactly get a say on the release sequence considering that he was knocked out and dragged into his Combat Cryptum by the Librarian. As for the blue Prometheans, they were under the control of Endurance, who was convinced by the Librarian to defend the Didact from any intruders, so he was not released early. Obviously, the Didact was not ready, which is why they were attempting to repel the Chief. And why the Knight didn't immediately execute the Chief after pouncing on him.

Wasn't it something about the Didact being put into isolation so he could "meditate" on his wrong doings so that when humanity awakens him he can help them? I think a monitor was supposed to be there to help him recover but something happened to it and the Didact was left to brood. I'm probably completely wrong so I'll just let LOA answer it correctly.

God dang Monitors not doing their jobs.

Or were they? =}
