Three Words: No Land Beyond
Recently, I received a Legendary Primary Weapon Engram as a completion reward for the Daily Heroic Story. Since I don't find many of these, I headed straight to my good friend the Cryptarch to find out what I had come across. As the little decryption animation played, I saw a flash of yellow in the corner of my screen. A tingle of excitement bolted through my body as I realised I had found No Land Beyond, an EXOTIC Primary Sniper; little did I know that the same weapon would become the bane of my existence.
After a little skim through NLB's skill-tree, I fired up Cosmodrome Patrol to test out my new toy. Now, I knew that NLB has no scope and therefore I expected iron sights; that being said, I also expected to be able to see out of them! The sights are just unholy. Absolutely terrible. Target acquisition is near impossible with them as they cover most of the screen, for the people who haven't had the pleasure of using them, this is what they look like:

It's not only the sights that make this weapon unusable, the unique bolt-action feature of this weapon means you have to effective reload after each and every shot, lowering the fire rate of this weapon to just 18-24RPM. This would be slightly more understandable if the weapon hit hard, however, it does not. The weapon, on a level 30 Ultra hits for roughly 1200dmg, coupling this with the fire rate and you get a laughable 480DPS... max. I can do almost triple that damage with my Badger CCL, a LEGENDARY Scout Rifle.
By now I hope you've established that this is a bad weapon, but there is more. NLB is a primary weapon, which means in order to use this big fat disappointment you've got to give up your Suros Regime, or your Hawkmoon or your Fatebringer or whatever you take as your primary. Since NLB is now your primary you have to use it loads, since that's what normally happens with Primary Weapons, however, you only have 18 rounds in reserve so don't count on that either.
Also, NLB is a kinetic sniper, the only non-elemental damage sniper in the game (presumably because it is a primary) so it won't be much help on Nightfalls either, not that it is much help at all. Hit detection with this weapon is also extremely strange, headshots won't register if you hit an enemy right in the skull but if you shoot 5 ft to the left you may just get one.
I really wanted to enjoy this weapon and I was going to list some positives of it... but I really can't think of any...This gun is just so unusable, it is so crippled in virtually all aspects.
Finally, in case anyone says it is 'the pro's weapon' and I can't use it because I am just bad can suffer with it as much as their giant ego forces them to.
TL;DR: No Land Beyond is a terrible weapon and no where near worthy of the Exotic title.

They mixed up the colors, it's supposed to be white
