Crota's end glitch collection
The point of this thread is to make aware of all known current glitches possible in the new DLC raid crota's end. The reason I am posting this information is because I want crota's end to be a true raid. It already has the potential to be a better raid then VoG. This one requires MUCH more communication and punishes you harder for mistakes. I want everyone who gets the loot from the raid to feel like they earned it. Instead of the quality being deminished because people just cheesed it.
First glitch: It is possible to cheese the second part with the totems and the big bridge. One way is to use a warlock fireborn at the last second when everyone else is dead. This despawns all enemies besides the sword knight. The warlock will then res everyone else. This glitch allows you to spawn the enemies needed to shoot on the other side to trigger the rewards/checkpoint. Here is a video for proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fcAlHQrliRs
It is also possible to cross the bridge VIA launching yourself from a totem and sword dancing across. As long as you don't sword dance near the bridge the "swordless bane" debuff won't happen. Glitch 3: Crota's end crota boss fight. It's called the "forever kneeling" glitch. Basically you have the host of the game leave while crota is going down. For whatever reason this makes Crota stay in his downed state until he is killed. You can re invite the host back to the game so he can receive the loot. Second glitch: This involves the last part of the raid. Fighting crota. There is 2 ways to get around the no health regen. The first involves a sunsinger resing after everyone else dies before the timer runs out. Proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH_Lxd79Ous

I did not include the 2 spots for getting out and on top of crota's end because I don't see any potential harm with either. The only harm I could see is if you could somehow make it back far enough to the door that has the second chest and get inside. If That is possible and I find a video i'll post. Until then these are the only glitches I am aware of. And yes If my team struggles with any of these parts we will glitch. I encourage everyone else to do so as well. The more publicity these glitches get the faster they can be fixed.
I'm pretty sure the reason hard mode is not possible for a month is so they have ample time to fix any exploit. Neither they nor many others want another Vex mythoclast incident. So spread the word and glitch away. Lets make this raid truly hard.
EDIT: It appears my thread went from being helpful to being trash talking. I was merely trying to be helpful. I wasn't trying to state that the bugs are any less important then the exploits. I'm making this edit for 2 things. One to state that me not playing the raid yet doesn't change anything. And that 2 because of request I will re edit this post later on if it's still around to ALSO show the current known bugs. Feel free to make a neat list for me to copy and paste. EDIT 2. Here is a list of known bugs currently in Crota's end. Thanks to those who posted them here for me.
CROTA'S END BUGS: -crota will occasionally jump down to the first level from his platform
-crota will sometimes stand back up as soon as he kneels in one sweet motion of sword carrier death
-knights will give 0 fvcks about that barrier while crota spawns
-sometimes there is a gatekeeper on the 3rd level (right above where you spawn)
-sometimes the sword disappears when you try to pick it up
-sometimes the over soul will be banished then 2 seconds later kills everyone
-ogres sometimes spawn after the first sword is used (they are supposed to come after 2 swords)
-Experienced crota regen shields while being shot
-Crota not dropping when shields are gone
-Picking up the sword on the Crota fight and having it completely disappear
-a Knight walking through the invisible wall at the start of the fight
-The ir yut part, there's been a few times when the shriekers wouldn't spawn.
-Swordbearer does not drop sword upon death
-Minor glitch but on the second phase when building the bridge it says the bridge is complete, when it is not, it completes a few seconds later.
Sorry If I missed any. Will update OP with more bugs or exploits as time goes by. Big thanks for everyone who actually didn't flame me or make harsh assumptions of me and stayed on topic. Nice to see this community still has a nice side.

Defeated crota for the first time today, all these people saying he's a tough boss, it seemed pretty easy to me. We did it 3rd try.

I honestly didn't know he had issues with people cheesing until looking at the comments just glancing through it reads like a guide on how to do the cheesing lol which is what it's mainly being used for I'm sure it actually came up in a google search on that for me. The best part is he thinks bungie needs his explanation pretty sure they were aware of these things before he wrote his novel. Bottom line if your game has glitches that can be abused they will be abused were people its what we do, you can bitch about it if you want but no one will ever be banned or punished for the developers mistakes

i'd love to to do it without cheese. but since i have to use destinylfg to find people and not actual friends (not many have the game), it's hard to find a group that wants to do it the legit way.

There are dozens of level-specific issues, some already listed elsewhere, so I won't do so again. I've written about general ones in my own threads, such as the sprint screwing up and not working for several seconds. Or how about the completely amateur mess-up of not allowing users to skip the cut scenes, which, if you consider how often we have to replay missions, would be a GREATLY appreciated addition. How about [i]actually[/i] balancing the Crucible. Or we can talk about things that simply don't make sense. How does it make sense to allow players to buy their way up to level 31? Have they even stopped to consider what this does to the game? VoG becomes almost useless. There's absolutely no reason or incentive to even do it. Screw that, just work on the new raid. The gear is better, anyway. And why not make universal consumables and materials totally universal, rather than having to trade them back and forth and back and forth and back and forth, without any way to split a stack of items. Truth is, these are the things that gamers should be creating posts about over and over and over again until Bungie decides to listen. Going through the effort to report the exploits--when you haven't even attempted the raid--makes you look extremely ignorant. It isn't your responsibility or prerogative to do so. These issues are Bungie's. As a gamer, trying to tell others how they have to play is both presumptuous and offensive. If you want to do it legit, then no one is stopping you, and no amount of patching will change the game for you. You're duping yourself if you think that the quality of the items change depending on how they are obtained. Is there really a difference between buying an Icebreaker and getting one as a drop? I got mine as a drop, but if I hadn't, I would've bought it from Xur. Is the value any different? Not at all. Fact is, the value of any item is determined by the user of that item, especially as there is no trading system, and so no global value scheme. I prefer scout rifles, someone else prefers hand cannons. Their values are determined by their wielders. Lastly, it's not for you to decide how anyone should feel in regard to obtaining gear. That, as with before, is presumptuous and insulting. Bottom line is that it's a game, and in the grand scheme there's no real challenge to obtaining stuff. Actually, there's nothing to even obtain: it's all digital, and none of it even exists. So all that is required is enough time and patience. Do not think that you have any right to tell me or anyone else how we should feel when we get gear. That's not your call. Period. So if you're going to do anything, then do something--point out and discuss things--that might contribute to actually fixing the game. Glitches in raids do not fit this criteria. Broken mechanics, poor balancing, missing content, and missing features do.

We had 2 things happen last raid. Crota went to the right side as soon as the first sword was picked up leaving us scrambling to get to the other side, which I've never seen happen before. So first sword was basically useless. Secondly, we were running from Crota when he moved to the left side, and he came inside the crystal area and wiped our whole fireteam in one fell swoop. Brilliant.

2 RepliesTh ey can't patch the infinite kneel glitch. It's caused by the overall game mechanics, being a solely online game connection errors are bound to lag the game out and there is no patch to prevent someone from switching their wifi off and back on again. The only thing they could do was add a fix that when the fireteam leader gets booted the rest of the team does but I don't think they will because that would piss off so many people due to rage quitters in pvp and elsewhere. I don't think bungie is going to be able to change that glitch, it's something that can't be changed because of the base development of the game

3 RepliesI havnt seen a lot of these but I just want to make it clear... A lot of people call strats "glitching" when there is absolutely nothing wrong. Crossing the second bridge without building it isn't a glitch, it's a strategy. Crossing lamps with only one person isn't a glitch, it's a strategy.

Also I was up to crota 5 hours after raid launch, if I feel like running to crota solo from now on I will since there is no reason to build a group for those portions. These issues with the raid are proof that Bungie is to lazy to properly test the content before it's released, instead they would rather release beta versions of every dlc and let the players suffer through the bugs. So as long as bungie is taking the lazy easy path so shall I. Once you've beaten anything legit once any further victories are irrelevant. So from that first victory forward, legit or cheese no longer matters. If you've proven you can beat it once then you could do so a thousand times. From here out I'll use the fastest method to clear the content as long as that method is there. It is still sad you feel the need to post a thread such as this, if you can look up all the exploits then so can bungie, let them do their own job and stop wasting ur time being a baby about a raid that was never tested properly.

3 Replieswe do it legit once a week then cheese certain parts if we feel like it. as long as we know we can do it legit we feel just speeding things up is somewhat justified. I got full gear on my second run so I just need those shards yo.

You need to relax. Let people play the way they want. Besides bungie will patch it. They purposely left out hard mode because they wanted to see if there was any exploits. When hard mode comes you will get your true raid. And everyone who cheeses will be forced to learn how to play.

12 RepliesI for one think that the level of ingenuity and out of the box thinking that gamers come up with to get around problems within a game is far more impressive than beating a game that designed to be beat. After all the guys that cheese games have found a way of using the game code to their advantage! That's true problem solving in my humble opinion. If you want an example of the level of effort and thinking that goes into things like this then just look at some of the theories surrounding the 'super secret VoG chests' Leave people to do what they want how they want, after all that's what pushes game developers!
