Having shrapnel removed from my shoulder, the surgeon couldn't get the anesthetic to work no matter how many times he injected it into me because of the area it was in so I could feel everything from the scalpel cutting me open to him digging around in my shoulder with forceps. Almost passed out like 3 times and was probably close to to bending the metal of the beds arm rest.
