In the original translation the word was in "2 And the earth was without form, and void" can be interpreted as was or became. If it is because, evidence as to why it is because will be later given, then there would need to be a cause behind the earth becoming without form and void. 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? -Job 4-7 This confirms that the creation of the heavens was separate from the events of Genesis. This would mean that while Satan was anointed cherub instead of sending the praise of the people to God he was trafficking it. Now the question is what people? Anyway The events described here have never been described anywhere else in the bible, the flood was targeted at humans and not the earth but the above events describe the destruction of the earth and it describes a civilization tat existed during this time. All due to the cataclysmic event banishing Lucifer from heaven was and God basically pressing the restart button. So now with everything I said you understand the gap between Genesis 1, first part of Genesis 2 and second part and Genesis 3. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Alright so that that is out of the way consider 2 other factors but they are not as concrete as the above 1. It is unclear whether or not the seven days of creation are literal days or whether or not they are days according to God as it is said 1 day to God is “like” a thousand years to us, so it could range from 7 days to 7 million 2. It is unclear how long adam and eve stayed in eden, as it is said that their aging only began after the left the Garden. So they could have been there for millions of years before ever stepping out. If Adam and Eve were a man and woman upon creation (they were created already aged) why can't the earth be the same? Created already aged? Also, if one of Adams first sons (cain) found a wife and moved away after killing his brother, why can't there be other humans? Maybe Adam and Eve were the first but does that mean ONLY? The bible was written by a very clever person to get people in check. So there were no murders, or 60 kids to feed from having multiple woman! Blah blah blah it's all very dated! The church used to have all the money and probably ran the world. Now science has proven like 99% of the bible is bull and low and behold the church is struggling. You can't beat science my friends it's just the way it is!!!! People back then didn't have the facts and believed allot of the stuff that was spoon fed to them coz they didn't know any different.
