Hello guardians,
This topic is about PvP and the rewards of this game mode.
I have played several MMOs and most of them separate pve/pvp armor and weapons. This is not the deal with Destiny and I got zero problems with that. Problem is, that if players focus their effort to PvP they will stay behind.
PvP rewards are RNG based which can be surprisingly good in some cases, but most of the times its just bad, but the main problem of this system is the legendary upgrade materials and Strange Coins. The only way to get those items for sure, is via weekly heroic strikes and raids. There used to be another source, the 1st gold public event of the day, but its removed.
So, a PvP player will spend months to upgrade armor and weapons, praying for the lucky drops.
On the other hand, a PvE focused player, will always be ahead on items, upgrades and Coins, while they can casually play a couple of crucible games and if they are lucky enough, get a few legendaries or even exotics as well.
And one more thing.. I would like to be able to prove how good I become everyday in Destiny PvP, prove it with special items and/or ranking scores. Right now a 5.0 KDA player gets nothing more than a new (or just bad) 0.x KDA player.
